Purpose

• Original Rinconada WTP finished in 1968• Sole District Water supply to West Valley

Service Area• Current Project Planning completed June 2012 Design completed January 2015 Construction started July 2015 Construction completion July 2020?

Project Background

• Replace facilities and components that are near the “end of their useful life”• Meet increasingly stringent water quality

standards• Comply with current seismic codes• Improve plant safety

Project is needed to

• Increase Water Production Capacity from• 80 MGD to 100 MGD• Provide new facilities• Raw Water Ozonation• Flocculation and Plate Settler
