Is the course subsidised?If you meet the eligibility criteria the cost of the course may be funded by the Queensland State and Commonwealth Governments. This qualification in Queensland is funded as part of the User Choice program. Contact us to find out if you qualify. If not you can still enrol as a full fee student. Future pathwaysAfter completing RII30815 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations you may decide to further your training with a Certificate IV qualification in an area such as Building and Construction, Work Health and Safety or Civil Construction.

UnitsParticipants need to complete 19 units of competency consisting of 14 core units plus 5 elective units. Your train will he;p you and your employer select the best elective units to meet your needs. CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (or equivalent) is the white card unit that is required before anyone can enter a construction site.

Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations covers a range of skills in areas such as plant operations and equipment, hand and power tools, basic levelling and excavation. You will also learn how to work safely on a construction site.

After successfully completing this course you will have a solid foundation of the skills and knowledge needed to work in the civil construction industry.

Enrolment checklistYou are currently working in the building and construction industry and have been registered or are intending to be registered in a QLD apprenticeship.

You are over 15 years of age (if you’re under 18, your parent or guardian must sign the enrolment form on your behalf)

You are able to attend the scheduled training sessions as per the timetable agreed with your employer

You hold a White Card which is required before you step on to a building and construction site.
