IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDSBefore using the electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be followed:

1. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children younger 8) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have supervision.

12. Do not let the appliance operate unattended.

13. During hot air frying, hot steam is released through the air outlet openings. Keep your hands and face at a safe distance from the steam and from the air outlet openings. Also be careful of hot steam and air when you remove the pan from the appliance.

14. After using the appliance, the metal cover inside is very hot, avoid to contact the hot metal inside after cooking.

15. Immediately unplug the appliance if you see dark smoke coming out of the appliance. Wait for the smoke emission to stop before you remove the pan from the appliance.

USING YOUR RICE COOKER

BEFORE USING YOUR RICE COOKER FOR THE FIRST TIME

1. Remove all packaging material. Remove any stickers or labels from the appliance.

2. Clean all removable parts thoroughly.

3. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.

LID RELEASE BUTTON:

• To open the rice cooker lid -press down on the cover release button. Pull the cover upwards. To close the lid make sure the button is clicked closed.

Note: Hot steam will come out of the vent on the lid during cooking. Do not place the rice cooker directly under your cabinets.

CONTROL PANEL FUNCTIONS

• Function options: White rice, brown rice, quick rice, quinoa, saute (Browning), steam, slow cook, oatmeal, soup, keep warm.

• Delay Timer: The delay timer can be used to delay the start of cooking using white rice, brown rice, quinoa, saute (Browning) slow cook, oat-meal and soup functions.

• Adjustable cooking timer: The adjustable timer arrows can only be used for; saute (browning), steam, slow cook and soup options.

Cooking Rice: (white rice, brown rice, quinoa, quick rice)

1. Measure desired amount of rice with a measuring cup. Rinse the rice and put into the removable cooking pot.

2. Use the water-level marking inside the cooking pot, as a guide for adding the right amount of water i.e. for 4 cups of uncooked rice, fill with water to the water-level marking “4”.

3. Place cooking pot into the rice cooker. Close the lid firmly.

4. Plug in the appliance.

Note: The taste and texture of the rice will vary depending on the quality of rice being used, and the amount of water filled. For softer, fluffier rice, add a little more water. For firmer, crunchier rice, add a little less water.

5. Select the desired rice cooking function, then set the delay timer if needed.

6. Tap the start button to start the cooking process. Chasing yellow lights will appear on the display screen.

7. When the rice is finished the machine will beep, and the rice cooker will automatically go into keep warm mode. The keep warm button will turn on. The keep warm time will appear on the display screen.

8. Open the lid and fluff the rice before serving.

Caution: Steam will escape through the steam vent on the lid, do not put your hand over it you could get burnt.

Note: Do not keep the rice on keep warm mode for more then 6 hours.

Caution: Do not lean over the rice cooker when opening the lid, steam will be escaping.

For Saute/ Browning1. Plug in the appliance.

2. Put the removable cooking pot into the rice cooker.

3. Press the saute button, 10 min-utes (the default cooking time) will appear on the display screen. To adjust the cooking time tap on the timer arrows. , The saute function can cook upto 30 minutes.

4. Tap the start button to start the cooking process.

5. The word “heat” will appear on the display screen to begin heating up the cooking pot.

6. When the pot is preheated, the cook time will start counting down. Add the food into the inner cooking pot, use a wooden or silicon spoon to mix the food.

7. When the countdown is over, it will stop sauteeing automatically and the machine will go into standby mode.

8. If you want to stop in mid sauteeing tap on the stop button.

For Steam cooking1. Fill the inner cooking pot half way with water.

2. Close the lid.

3. Press the steam button the 5 minutes (default cooking time) will appear on the display screen. Adjust the cooking timer from 5 to 60 minutes by using the timer arrows.

4. Tap the start button to start the cooking process.

5. The word “heat” will appear on the display screen to begin boiling the water.

6. When the water is boiled the machine will beep. “Add” will appear on the display screen.

7. Open the lid, place food in the steam tray. Put the steam tray into the inner cooking pot. Then close the lid.

8. The countdown time will appear on the display screen.

9. When the timer is over, it will stop steaming. The machine will go into keep warm mode.

10. The machine will stop steaming automatically when theres no water left.

11. To manually stop steaming press the stop button.

This is the setting to use when you don’t have time for a long, slow cook.

Medium is the standard slow cooking temperature, and is ideal for the foods that you put up before work, and enjoy at the end of the day.

The longer the cooking time, the more intense the flavors get. For a real hearty meal

SETTING GUIDELINES COOKING TIME

Slow Cooking1. Put the raw food into the cooking pot, add water if needed. Do not exceed the max capacity. Close the lid.

2. Press the slow cook function. The slow cook option will flash. The high setting selection will turn on and 4 hours (default cooking time) will appear on the display screen.

3. Tap the slow cook button to set the slow cook mode (low, medium, high).

4. Press the timer arrows to adjust the cooking time.

5. Tap the start button to start the cooking process.

6. The countdown time will appear on the display screen.

7. When the timer is over, it will stop steaming. The machine will go into keep warm mode.

Oatmeal Cooking1. Put oatmeal and water into the inner cooking pot. Do not exceed the max capacity. Close the lid.

2. Press the Oatmeal function, and press the START/STOP key to start cooking process.

3. The machine will automatically go into the keep warm mode when finished cooking.

Soup Cooking1. Put the ingredients and water into the inner cooking pot. Do not exceed the max capacity. Close the lid.

2. Press the Soup function. 30 minutes (default cooking time) will display on the screen. Set the cooking timer from 15 to 60 minutes if need.

3. Tap the start button to start the cooking process.

4. “Heat” will appear on the display screen.

5. Once the water is boiled, the timer will start counting down.

6. When the timer is over, the machine will go into keep warm mode.

7. To manually stop the cooking process press the stop button.

Keep Warm Mode1. Press the keep warm button. The keep warm light will flash.

2. Press the timer arrows to adjust the keep warm time (30 minutes to 4 hours).

3. Press the START/STOP button to start. The rice cooker timer will start counting down.

4. When the timer is over, the machine will stop and go into standby mode.

Using The Delay Timer FunctionThis function postpones the cooking time from beginning for up to 12 hours. It can be used with all presets except "Steam".

1. Prepare desired food, place into inner pot and close the lid.2. Plug the rice cooker into the wall outlet.3. Select a preset or set the desired cooking time manually.4. Press the “delay timer” button. The display screen will show 0:30 which is equal to 30 minutes of delay time. Press the timer arrows to increase or decrease the desired time. The “delay timer” can be increased or decreased by 15 minute increments. The maximum delay period is 12 hours.5. Press the Start button. The cooking cycle will begin after the delay start time elapses.

CAUTION: When using this function ensure that the foods being cooked are not sensitive to warm temperatures and will not spoil from remaining at room temperature for an extended period of time.

1. The removable cooking pot and steam tray, can be washed in water.

2. Use a wet cloth to wipe down the inside and outside of the rice cooker.Always clean the silicon rubber ring on the lid, to keep from damaging the steam tight feature.

EnvironmentDo not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.
