Pure Country 4-H Club
20L7 12018
Member Packet
Welcome new and returning members to Pure Country 4-H Clubl
4-H encourages hands-on learning through youth and adult led experíences that 4-H provides. These
experiences allow youth to learn by doing, grow from failure, express their ideas and use their influence
to drive positive outcomes. Additionally, 4-H's hands-on approach is proven to grow life skills such as
confidence, independence, leadership, teamwork, resilience and compassion through stages and
developed through experiences. The Pure Country 4-H Club is a "community club" which means that we
serve youth in many project areas in 4-H. Our club offers a variety of projects and is currently the largest
4-H club in Clallam County.
Because 4-H is a family organization, Pure Country encourages parents to be ¡nvolved with their youth(s)
activities/projects. We have one club leader, one assistant club leader, and several project leaders and
adult volunteers. Our leaders, volunteers and youth work hard to make this program successful. We all
volunteer our time to this program because we believe that 4-H is an important life enriching experience.
Pure Country is always looking for new families and volunteers to assist in developing projects and thisprogram.
The information contained in this packet is intended to provide reference and set expectations for club
members. We encourage you to look over this information carefully and use the contact resources
provided to help make this year successful! lt is our hope that return¡ng 4-H families can be a point ofcontact to provide information, support, and mentor new families.
Sincerely,
Pure Country Leadership
