The McEntee family settled in the Roundout area of Kingston, New York in the early 19th Century. They were

instrumental in the construction of the D & H Canal across New York. One of each of the McEntee brother’s children

became artists – Jervis McEntee, known for his Hudson River paintings, and Julia McEntee Dillon for her floral

compositions.

This pair of period Heppelwhite chairs descended in the McEntee family. They are pictured in archival photos of

Julia McEntee Dillon’s stone house taken in 1910.

The Spring Antiques At Rhinebeck ShowWelcomes 135-Plus Exhibitors May 28–29

Come Celebrate Our 40th Anniversary & Rediscover The Decorator In You

Who said dreams never come true…well mine did in Rhinebeck, N.Y.Welcome to the 40th Anniversary Spring Antiques at Rhinebeck Show where your

dreams can come true as well.My relationship with Rhinebeck started decades ago as a dealer in the original Bill Wal-

ters Rhinebeck Antiques Fair. A visionary, true gentleman and wonderful human being, Bill’s appreciation for antiques and culture gave birth to the Rhinebeck Antiques Fair. Bill started the show at Bard College where he was a professor, and I am proud to have exhib-ited at his first and second events. It is those qualities we endeavor to bring back to Rhinebeck and our goal is not out of reach.

Our 135-plus exhibitors are ramping up for the show, setting aside great material for your visit, and from a management view, there is little we would not do to please our customers.

In this photo, taken around 1985, a more youthful Frank was installing lighting in the booth I proudly occupied for more than a decade at Rhinebeck, excited about the show and looking forward to the opening morning crowd, as I still do today.

Producing Antiques at Rhinebeck is a major undertaking for which I and my amazingly dedicated staff are deeply grateful to undertake. Thank you Lynn and Ryan for all you do.

This year’s show will introduce new categories of objects to the floor, keeping Rhine-beck fresh and interesting for the Twenty-First Century collectors and decorators, as well as our incredible Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century dealers whose material eclipses time.

But what really sets Rhinebeck aside from other antiques shows is the dependability of meeting your expectations — a job we all take very seriously at Rhinebeck.

As Rhinebeck continues to increase in popularity, so has exhibitor interest, prompting our introducing a fourth building “D” to our show, so don’t miss it!

Also new this spring, we are using one main entrance at Mulberry Street Gate, with plenty of free parking and easy access to all buildings.

Plan on making a weekend at the show and bring a friend. The show is great fun, the restaurants are gourmet and the beautiful Hudson River Valley beckons your visit.

Come celebrate our 40th anniversary and rediscover the decorator in you!Looking forward to welcoming you on Saturday and Sunday, May 28–29, and making

your dreams come true.Sincerely yours,

Frank Gaglio
