In August 2020, gas turbines and generators (GTG-1 and GTG-2) arrived at the construction site of Turkmenenergo Zerger 432 MW Simple Cycle Power Plant, which is being built in the Charjev District of the Lebap Region of Turkmenistan. In total, three gas turbine units will be installed by the project.

This event marks an important milestone and a new stage in in the course of the project implementation. Gas turbines are the major elements of the plant under construction – with a total

capacity of 432 MW, manufactured in Japan by MHPS Company and delivered by sea. The total weight of the cargo is 1,024 tons. The total distance of the overseas Kobe – Turkmenbashi route was more than 20,000 km. The cargo then proceeded to the final destination via modular SPMT heavy transportation, along the inland route of around 1,000 km. The equipment was transported in strict compliance with all safety rules and standards, which is the main principle of the project.
