1. INTRODUCTION

This is a Change Delivery to Nokia Siemens Networks GSM/EDGE BSS, rel. RG10(BSS), operating documentation, issue 1, because of problem report 30645ESPE03. The instructions for collecting the alarm 1178 and 2770 logs have been updated in the document BSC Problem Reporting. BSC Problem Reporting, issue 10-1, will be delivered in Nokia Siemens Networks GSM/EDGE BSS, rel. RG10(BSS), operating documentation, issue 2, scheduled for June, 2009.

2. CORRECTIONS MADE TO BSC PROBLEM REPORTING, DN991432, ISSUE 10-1

Change description The Log instructions with service terminal connection and with serial cable connection to PCU have been added, and the instructions for capturing alarm 1178 or 2770 logs (PCU1) have been updated in section Reporting problems with GPRS/EDGE in chapter Information needed in the Problem Reports.

3. UPDATING THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTATION

NED

A link to NED (NED 5.2 or later) is created by applying one of the following options:

1. You can link the change note to the NED start page.

2. You can copy-paste the relevant information as a note to NED.

3. You can create a note and attach a link to the change note.

For more information on updating your NED, log into NOLS Documentation Center, go to Documentation News and select the correct User Guide for your NED version under the title “Tips related to NED and PDF”.

Note that any bookmarks and notes you create on the document in NED will need to be re-checked and possibly removed after you have installed the next NED Update Package, which contains the new, corrected documents included in this Change Note.

PDFs

If your original documentation was delivered as PDFs in a .zip file, replace relevant documents with updated ones.


4. LIST OF DOCUMENTATION CHANGE NOTES/CHANGE DELIVERIES

Documentation Change Notes inform about changes in already published documents. At regular intervals, all the changed content is integrated into an updated Product Documentation NED which is published in NOLS Documentation Center. Each new version of the documentation set is cumulative, so the latest set always contains the changes made to the previous versions. Once a change has been published in the next version of the NED, the corresponding documentation Change Note is removed from NOLS.
