Scope of Work / Service Requirements 

4.2 Scope of Work

  The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is looking to lease or purchase one (1) or two (2)

monoplace hyperbaric oxygen chambers for a new wound care clinic in or near the League City, Texas

area. The hyperbaric oxygen chambers should have the following characteristics:

Monoplace configuration

Minimum 34” internal diameter cylinder

Incline/decline adjustable stretcher

Patient controlled temperature

Certified for patients up to 700 pounds

TV for entertainment with remote control for patient control

Computerized control system for the chamber itself

Software interface with Electronic Medical Record (Epic)

Gurney undercarriage storage

Minimum of 1-year warranty and extended maintenance plans

ASME PVHO-1 compliant

UTMB has reviewed this RFP in accordance with the Texas Administrative Code Section (Title 34, Part 1, Chapter 20, Subchapter B, Rule 20.14) and has determined that subcontracting opportunities are not probable under this solicitation.

If your company does intend to subcontract any portion of the work, your proposal must include a “HUB Subcontracting Plan” (HSP). The HSP Package, including the required forms and instructions, can be accessed via the UTMB’s HUB Program website at
