1Introduction
The NS-series Sensor uses three types of small form-factor pluggable modules as shown in thefollowing table.
To ensure compatibility, McAfee supports only those SFP, SFP+ and QSFP+ modules purchasedthrough McAfee or from a McAfee-approved vendor.
The SFP, SFP+ and QSFP+ modules use a bail clasp for securing the module in place in the Sensor.Your module might be slightly different. For ease of installation, insert the module in the Sensor whileit is turned off and before placing it on a rack. For more information, see Network Security PlatformNS-series Sensor Product Guide and Network Security Platform NS-series Interface Module ReferenceGuide.
To prevent eye damage, do not stare into open laser apertures.
This document describes the specifications for the following transceiver modules.

2SFP 1000 Base-T copper transceivermodule
McAfee's ITV-2KTG-NA-100 Copper small form-factor (SFP) transceiver is based on Gigabit EthernetIEEE802.3 standard and 1000 Base-T standard that provides a quick and reliable interface for theGigabit Ethernet application. The transceiver complies with small form-factor pluggable Multi-SourceAgreement (MSA).
The main features of the Copper SFP module are the following:
• Supports 1.25 GBd bi-directional data links
• Hot-pluggable SFP footprint; plugs into SFP port ofMcAfee Sensors
• Maximum link length of 100m on standardCategory 5 unshielded twisted-pair copper cabling
• RJ-45 connector
• Supports McAfee ID feature that enables McAfeeSensors to identify whether the module is McAfeecertified and tested SFP
• Auto-sense MDI/MDIX
