SENIOR CLASS SONGSENIOR CLASS SONG

No class ever could be better than the class of ‘66.Since we came, we’ve earned our name—Senior ‘66.

No class made, has got a shade on Spirit of ‘66.I’ll tell ya’ why—You know I don’t lie—Not me!

We come and go, always in the know, we’re Swingers ‘66

We lead the school and there ain’t no fools in Spirit of ‘66.

Step aside—all of you,Senior Class is coming through.

FV named us—Fame has claimed us—Class of “66!(Borrowed from Class of ‘65 and sung to “Sweet Georgia Brown.”)

Forest View, our Forest View We will always remember you

For the friends we have known these years For the laughter and the tears.

For the goals achieved with pride Foes we've conquered side by side

THE CELLARTEEN DANCE CLUB

• Located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, The Cellar teen dance club provided consistently good live musical entertainment in the 1960s. Founded in 1964 by Paul Sampson (a local record store owner who later became a music promoter and manager), this music venue primarily featured Rock and Roll music acts, although some Blues acts performed as well. Originally begun in the basement of the former St. Peter's Church administration building (hence its moniker), it moved to an unused warehouse on Davis Street, along the Chicago and Northwestern railroad tracks. It closed in 1970 [1].

• The Cellar became a notable venue for several reasons. Most importantly, it provided teenagers from the region with a place to congregate and to dance.

• It was also notable because of its talented regional house / repeat bands, such as: the Shadows of Knight, The Mauds, H.P. Lovecraft [2] , Saturday's Children, Ted Nugent[3] [with the] Amboy Dukes, The Huns, The Other Half[4], and Little Boy Blues [5].

• Additionally, given the its modest warehouse venue in a northwestern suburb of Chicago, The Cellar proved to be truly remarkable because of the extraordinary national and international Rock acts that also made appearances there, such as:

• The Who [6] [7] , The Cream [8] , The Byrds [9], Buffalo Springfield [10] , and The Spencer Davis Group[11]
