REVELATIONS

Hebrews 1:1-4 “In the past God spoke to our ancestors

through the prophets at many times and in various

ways, but in these last days

he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed

heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the

radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of

his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

After he had provided

purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the

Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to

the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.”

Charles Haddon Spurgeon "Come, see the place where

the Lord lay," with joy and gladness. He does not lie

there now. Weep, when ye

see the tomb of Christ, but rejoice because it is empty.

Thy sin slew him, but his divinity raised him up. Thy

guilt hath murdered him, but

his righteousness hath restored him. Oh! He hath

John 16:13-15 “But when He, the Truth-giving Spirit,

comes He will guide you into the whole, full Truth. For He

will not speak His own

message on His own authority; but He will tell

whatever He hears from the Father; He will give the message that has been

given to Him, and He will announce and declare to you the things that will happen in

the future. He will honor and glorify Me, because He

will draw upon what is Mine and will reveal it to you.

Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I

meant when I said that

the Spirit will take the things that are Mine and will reveal

it to you.”

FORGOTTEN GOD

Wherever you are in your relationship with God, we

have prayed specifically that the Lord will REVEAL Himself to you today.

John 16:8-11 “When He comes, He will show the

world it was wrong about sin, righteousness, and

judgment. He will show the

world it was wrong about sin because they don't believe in Me. He will show the world

it was wrong about righteousness because I'm

going to the Father and you won't see Me anymore. He will show the world it was

wrong about judgment because this world's ruler

stands condemned.”

First this verse speaks about the REVEALING of the sin of

disbelief toward Him.

We are talking about having a personal relationship with

Christ.

Has there ever been a time when you trusted in Jesus

that He is who He says He is and that He can do what He says He can do-save you for

all eternity?

Notice the second thing He does. He “convicts the world

because they need to understand their lack of

righteousness.”

Romans 3:23 “All have sinned and fallen short of

God's glory,”

The third thing that the Spirit does is to convict us about

the judgment that God brings on sin in the past, present

and the future.

“The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God

freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our

Lord.” Romans 6:23
