Revelation at Heart Part 1 {Shrouded}

This is the tale of a man locked in the haze,And tortured at the hands of life’s greatest maze.

But a beacon rose up to shut out the dark,

And take him away on a soul saving ark.

The man he lived simply, one day to the next,

But locked deep inside was a slaying defect. His feelings were hidden, thus creating a shroud,

Of darkness so deep he’d never be found.

The anguish inside him was hid from the world,Killing him slowly as his dark life unfurled.

Until a spark lit the passion that burned in his mind,

He emerged from the darkness, unsure what to find.

For he found lasting solace in a friend close at hand,

His feelings developed to eclipse his whole land.A fair maiden beauty, he could not deny,

So bright and so lively, a tear filled his eye.

After a time, the feelings grew worse,His emotion so strong, his heart set to burst.

He asked for her heart for her to give him a chance,

Her reply started a quest, as the man hit a trance.

The maiden denied him, said “I like another”The man was too shocked to ask of the other. For a week the man carried the burden alone,

Till he called to a friend and let out a moan.

“I just cant forget, that sweet maidens smile,

To call her my own id run many a mile,”

When I look in her eyes, my world turns from grey,

And bursts into color for many a day.”

Revelation at Heart Part 2 {Changes}

The friend proved his worth and the man found support,That he so sorely needed, for the treasure he sought,

Was the fair maidens hand, what ever the cost,

The changes began to return what was lost.

But love can be cruel and at a second attempt,

The rejection was worse at his loves quick descent. The melancholy burnt his whole world to ash,

But still the fair maiden seemed attractive and flash.

The friend saved the man from deepest despair,And told of a way to play loves game fair.

“she likes you as a friend, of that I am sure,

But love is a thing that’s meant to endure.”

“A balance is needed for things to run right,

If she does not love you, at least try stay bright,”For her feelings may change if you stay as a friend,

But to pester is a course with no happy end.”

So the man started to change, for better no worse,He cast off the shadows of his former life’s curse.

His soul became free and his heart became pure,

For he loved the young maiden, his love was his cure.

The change in the man was known to none.

But the friend who was true and not one to shun,The maiden knew not of the change she had wrought,

Nor the work of the man that had all come to naught.

The man was afraid of the devotion at heart,

Never before had it pushed oh-so-hard.

He looked to the stars and made a great vow,

He would have the fair maiden, he did not know how.

Revelation at Heart Part 3 {Brighter Future}

“oh graceful lighthouse, a beacon at night,You guide me in ways so tender and slight.”

“One day you’ll be mine, my heart will be true,

My hope is that one day I’ll belong to you.”

“love is my power, but also my pain,

As I stand here alone. Filled with disdain.”“You are better than me in more than one way,

And I hope against hope, that maybe one day…”

“You’ll accept my hearts longing and love me almost,As much as I love you, of that I will boast.”

My love for you is the strongest emotion,

That ive ever felt, a sense of devotion”

To the man, the pain, was at its worse because,

His hearts full endearment was unknown, of course.A third try he feared, would drive her away,

To lose her kind friendship was too much to pay.

She saved him from himself, even if she didn’t know,His continued devotion, he tried not to show.

For he valued her friendship, the life in her eyes,

To lose it would bring his certain demise.

To this very day, he conceals his great love,

In the hope that she’ll change and be his white dove.He watches in the shadows to keep her from strife,

Protecting the greatest thing in his life.
