Revelation 21:1-22:5
(Rev 21:1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth
were passed away; and there was no more sea.
(Rev 21:2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride
adorned for her husband.
(Rev 21:9) And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the
seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the
bride, the Lamb's wife.
(Rev 21:10) And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high
mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem,
descending out of heaven from God,
(2Co 11:2) For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy:
for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may
present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
(Eph 5:25) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for
it;
(Eph 5:26) That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of
water by the word,
(Eph 5:27) That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not
having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be
holy and without blemish.
(Rev 19:7) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the
marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
(Rev 19:8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
(Rev 19:9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are
called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are
the true sayings of God.
MIRROR
IMAGe
Mirror, Mirror on the wall, where is the Glory in us all?
I.We are to RESONATE his Glory
(Rev 21:11) Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper
stone, clear as crystal;
(Rev 21:23) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for
the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light
thereof.
A. Resonating of his glory in CREATION
(Rev 4:11) Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and
honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for
thy pleasure they are and were created.
(Rom 11:36) For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory
for ever. Amen.
(Eze 28:12) Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum,
full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
(Eze 28:13) Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy
covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the
sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of
thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
(Eze 28:14) Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast
walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Psalms 148
B. Resonating of his glory
in the Church
(Col 1:25) Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to
fulfil the word of God;
(Col 1:26) Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from
generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
(Col 1:27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of
this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of
glory:
(1Co 10:31) Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do,
do all to the glory of God.
(1Pe 4:11) If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it
as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be
glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for
ever and ever. Amen.
(2Co 3:18) But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the
Lord.
I.We are to RESONATE his Glory
II.We are to REFLEX his light
(Rev 21:11) Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most
precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
(Rev 21:23) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of
the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and
the Lamb is the light thereof.
(2Co 4:6) For God, who commanded the light to
shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face
of Jesus Christ.
(2Co 4:7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and
not of us.
(Mat 5:14) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set
on an hill cannot be hid.
(Mat 5:15) Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a
bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that
are in the house.
(Mat 5:16) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
(Mar 4:21) And he said unto them, Is a candle
brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed?
and not to be set on a candlestick?
I.We are to RESONATE his Glory
II.We are to REFLEX his light
III.We are to REFRAIN from defilement
(Rev 21:11) Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper
stone, clear as crystal;
(Rev 21:27) And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that
defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book
of life.
Jasper is derived from the Greek for "spotted stone".
That is an opaque stone that is usually red, yellow, brown or green in color; and rarely
blue
(Eze 28:13) Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;
every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and
the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets
and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day
that thou wast created.
(1Th 4:7) For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto
holiness.
(1Pe 1:14-16) As obedient children, not fashioning
yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all
manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy;
for I am holy.
