MANY ARE INVITED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN

Our modern Church has invited over a billion of the living

people on this Earth. Millions and millions have responded to

this Divine invitation by accepting it and joining in the 24/7

ministries taking place at every hour of every day somewhere

on God's planet Earth. The faith of our King of King's modern

disciples is vibrant, ever changing and a sacred vessel. It is

here within the context of our modern Catholic Church that

the holy presence of our Lord Jesus Christ is indeed

acknowledged, recognized and expressed through the Holy

Word, the seven sacraments and of course through the

divinely inspired millions and millions acts and words and

various ministries and services through human kindness,

compassion, mercy and justice. Such goodness of our Lord is

often expressed and lived out by the countless Catholics all

throughout God's one holy catholic and apostolic church.

Many are invited by God to join together as a member of the

larger Body of Christ. Christians everywhere on the globe

strive to fulfill the Divine mandate best expressed by St

Francis of Assisi when he wrote, "Preach the Gospel

always...use words if necessary". Today, nearly one thousand

years after this great humble servant walked the face of this

Earth, we as Church continue to be invited by our Father and

His beloved Son to indeed hear His calling, His great

invitation to go out into the world and live life in ways that

will help strengthen, renew and build up the Kingdom of God.

Rich or poor we receive this Divine calling. Roman Catholic

or not, Christian or not, each and every human being lives a

life created by God. Your own life and that of every human

being regardless of one's religion, race, ethnicity, tribe, wealth

or education is a human life which comes from God. When

you hear His invitation to join in the festive company of our

brothers and sisters, then accept this Divine Word. And always

remember to be humbled and a person of thanksgiving unto

He who is and will always be the King of Kings.

Luck Rollins, Thomas Merryman, William Hughes, Terry Willett,
