Archdiocese of Atlanta The Church of the Good Shepherd
Fourth Sunday of Lent March 26, 2017
When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, he found him and said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" He answered and said, "Who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?" Jesus said to him, "You have seen him, the one speaking with you is he." He said, "I do believe, Lord," and he worshiped him. Then Jesus said, "I came into this world for judgment, so that those who do not see might see, and those who do see might become blind."

What is Eucharistic
Adoration?
U n d e r s t o o d s i m p l y ,
Eucharistic Adoration is
adoring or honoring the
Eucharistic Presence of
Christ. In a deeper
sense, it involves "the
contemplation of the
Mystery of Christ truly
present before us".
D u r i n g E u c h a r i s t i c
Adoration, we "watch
and wait", we remain
"silent" in His Presence
and open ourselves to
His Graces which flow
from the Eucharist ... By
w o r s h i p i n g t h e
Eucharistic Jesus, we
become what God wants
us to be! Like a magnet,
The Lord draws us to
H ims e l f an d g en t l y
transforms us.
Stations of the
Cross
Every Friday,
except Good Friday,
the Stations of the
Cross will be held at
7:00 p.m. in English
and 7:30 p.m. in
Spanish. These will
take place either
outside (weather
permitting) or
inside the Church.
Please note: The Parish Office and the Parish Life Center will be closed Holy
Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Our Ministries
ARE YOU SOMEOME OR DO YOU KNOW
SOMEONE WHO...Has expressed an interest in
becoming Catholic? Has a child over the age of seven who
has not been baptized? Was baptized
Catholic as a child but has not
celebrated the sacraments of Baptism,
Confirmation and Eucharist? Perhaps
baptized in a different Christian
denomination and would like to join
the Catholic Church?
We offer an opportunity to come
together in a small group to learn
more about our faith. Sessions focus
on the teachings and experience of
the Catholic Church and prepare
individuals to celebrate the sacraments of Baptism,
Confirmation and Eucharist. There are separate sessions
for children, youth and adults. You are welcome to
participate in the process with your questions, your

20 Things You Should Know about Fatima By Father Ed Broom, OMV
On May 13, 2017, we will celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the
apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima to three shepherd children in Portugal.
The message of Fatima is a simple one that highlights the teachings of the
Gospel and Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
7. The Existence of Heaven: Lucia asked Our Lady if she and
Francisco and Jacinta would go to heaven. She said YES, but
Francisco would have to say many rosaries before he was ready to go
to heaven.
8. Jacinta and Sacrifice: After the vision of hell, Jacinta performed as
many sacrifices as she could to save poor souls from the fires of hell. (To be continued in the following weeks.)
On April 5th and 6th, the U.S. Tour for Peace will
arrive at Good Shepherd with the international
Pilgrim Statue of Fatima. It will repose in our
chapel overnight. Scheduled by Father
Diosmar.
On May 13th, our parish will celebrate the 100th
Anniversary with prayers, music, Rosary
procession, and reception. Sponsored by the

Pray for Our Military - They are always prepared and ready to defend and protect us.
All-powerful and ever-living God,
when Abraham left his native land
and departed from his people
you kept him safe through all his journeys.
Protect these soldiers.
Be their constant companion
and their strength in battle,
their refuge in every adversity.
Guide them, O Lord,
that they may return home in safety.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
A Prayer for Soldiers
Brave warriors, should fate find us in battle, may our
cause be just. May our leaders have clear vision. May
our courage not falter. May we be triumphant and earn
victory as we show mercy to our enemies. May our
efforts bring lasting peace. May our sacrifice be always
appreciated by those we serve. May we return to our
loved ones unharmed. Should we be harmed, may our
wounds heal. Should we perish in the struggle, may
God embrace us and find for us a place in His Kingdom.

EVANGELIO Jn 9, 1-41
hombre?" Él contestó: "¿Y quién es, Señor, para que yo crea en él?" Jesús le dijo: "Ya lo has visto;
