Retracom’s Group of Companies is one of Queensland’s most successful privately owned businesses, regularly appearing within the top 100 of the Q400 awards (Queensland top 400 privately owned companies).

Established in 1974 Retracom has proven to be a market leader within the manufacturing and construction industries and is a testament to the company’s commitment, expertise and integrity in all that we do.

Retracom’s turnover for FY2012 was $25M and we employ approximately 80 staff and upwards of 150 sub-contractors.

Retracom’s Group of Companies comprises three separate businesses being Transportable Buildings, Hire Buildings and Insulated Panel Contracting. Projects undertaken by the group include Mining and Infrastructure projects with our Transportable Building business, Industrial and Commercial Food Processing and Cold Storage facilities with our Contracting business and large temporary office and accommodation projects within the Resource, Infrastructure and Mining sector, through our Hire business.

Located at Crestmead Brisbane Retracom has also recently set up a satellite office in Toowoomba to take advantage of infrastructure projects in the Surat Basin.

The success of Retracom is based on the vision of the Managing Director Martin Porter. Martin has been at the helm of Retracom for over 25 years and has been the driving force behind its success. Being a family based business Martin’s three sons have all worked for the business and recently the eldest son Shannon Porter was promoted to General Manager for Retracom Hire and Transportable Buildings alongside Chris Wormald the General Manager for Retracom Contracting.

Martin’s long term vision focuses around creating a vibrant, contemporary and innovative company that maintains a healthy respect for its traditional values embracing them into the next generation and beyond.

“We are writing to thank you for the service and assistance we received in the purchase of the Retracom home which was installed upon at our site in January 2012. From the initial tour of the factory, to the quotation stage, onto the order stage and finally the installation stage, the service we received from Mr Kevin Mclachlan was outstanding. Ease of Design.

Retracom designs and manufactures your building to your exact specification and requirements. Using one of our many off the plan designs or design your own, Retracom can deliver exactly what you require. It’s your space…and we have the building that fits.

Retracom HOP

Need a modular, transportable or mobile building, but don’t want to tie up your hard earned capital? Then HOP on board with one of Retracom Building’s Hire-Occupy-Purchase plans.

How does it work? It’s simple…Just hire a building for an agreed period, one, two or three years, and at the end of the hire period simply purchase the building outright and receive a rental rebate off the purchase price.

Ease of delivery

All buildings are supplied ready for connection to your sites electrical and plumbing services. Retracom can arrange this for you or use your own contractor, it’s your choice.

Retracom can also supply all your internal needs including whitegoods, curtains, bedding, split system air-conditioning and any other requirements you may have.
