Hands Free Unit is the Intelligent Proximity feature as called by marketing .
It’s also similar to DX-series feature. Intelligent Proximity allows you to pair your mobile device to use the mobile line through your 8851/8861.
Once the mobile device is paired, you can place and receive calls on the mobile line from 8851/8861, with either the handset or the speakerphone.
