Did you know that Lottery Security/Law Enforcement Investigators conduct random Retailer Compliance and Underage Gaming Enforcement Operations, and Retailer inspections at Lottery locations on a regular basis?

As Retailers, you want to make sure to do the following:

• Ask for ID on Lottery sales, to confirm your customer is at least 18 years of age.

• It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to purchase, play, or claim Lottery games. No exceptions!

• If the winning Prize is more than $599, give your customer a Winner Claim Form to submit. Winner Claim Forms are also available on the California Lottery website and are offered in multiple languages. Make sure the original ticket is returned to the Player to claim their Prize!
