Google Dev & Test 1 is an Android OS and embedded mobile application development and testing project. This project is aimed at developing and testing Android operating system (newer versions).This project also includes the development and testing of various Android native system applications like Gmail, hangouts etc for various mobile devices (Phones and tablets) for Android platforms (different versions). Under this project various new features for Android operating system and its native system applications are being developed/ enhanced and tested for every new android version and devices released by Google.The main aim of this project is to deliver new features to make various android applications more user friendly, performance effective and to also to look for their backward compatibility over various old releases and devices which are in the market.

ROLE:

I am working in this project as an Android/Mobile Application tester, leading the module of GmsCore(Google Play Services) and Daily System FAST Testing on android release with major work to write and execute test cases for various android features and system applications for a wide variety of android devices.

My contributions towards this project are as

Leading and Executing Smoke FAST testing on daily android releases. Task allocation to team members, individual report review and report consolidation.. Defect tracking: From the time a new defect is raised till it gets closed. Sending daily team status report to Client at EOD. Involved in peer reviews and mentoring team members for the projects and process. Managing manual test execution, analyzing all the reports and identifying/ reporting

defects.
