April 27 th , 2020 Dear Students, I hope things are going well at home. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for help if you need any assistance with your online assignments. As this school year comes to a close we will be working on our resume building skills in further detail and organizing your skill sets on paper. Ultimately, this will help you be further prepared for employment either while you attend school or after you graduate. Please try to be as detailed as possible in your responses and choose your wording carefully. Look back and reflect on this year and the skills and certifications (serv safe Food handlers card) that you achieved at ROP alone. Many of you many wonder who is someone besides a family member that is considered a reference. In response to that question- Myself, coaches, teachers, part time employers, people that you have done odd jobs for in the past like baby sitting, volunteering (church, ect…) are all resources that you may use to continue to build your resume. This will be part of your final end of year portfolio project so keep that in mind while organizing all of your information.
