Engineer on a series of 18 identified projects to bring the plant into compliance with federally mandated regulations. Projects ranged from developing and implementing new processes for packaging and handling of material to improving existing process systems

KOCH Minerals 1994-1995

Midwest District Project EngineerI served as project engineer on a series of aggregate handling projects ranging from $25 thousand to $1.2 million in appropriation. Major projects included: Granular Slag Dryer Project

Designed and installed a dryer plant to dry granular slag from US Steel blast furnaces. Project was designed and built within a four-month deadline.

Supervised contractors on the construction of the structure

High Line Conveyor Project

Designed and installed a conveyor system to move coal at one of Koch’s shipping terminals.

Worked directly with the contractor on the installation of the conveyor system.

AMOCO OIL COMPANY 1991-1994

Project EngineerServed as project engineer on a series of projects ranging form $10 thousand to $22 million in appropriation. Major projects included:

Benzene NESHAP Compliance Project

Served on a team of three engineers, which were responsible for the sealing and containment of the refinery process sewer system to meet Federal Clean Air Act regulations.

Received a recognition award for a design that saved the refinery approximately $300,000, with additional savings per year in operating costs. Project came in under the appropriated budget of $22 million.

Ethanol Blending Facility Project

Designed and installed four centrifugal pumps in accordance with API 610, with related piping and blending equipment to meet Federal Clean Air Act regulations. Project was built ahead of schedule and under the appropriated budget of $915,000.
