In my philosophy an inquisitive, insightful approach to the world, a manic attention to perceiving its details, as well as excitement for aesthetics and future, are crucial. I feel that my clear and strong design philosophy, is pivoted around extremely logical laws. Balancing functionality and aesthetics in order to reach beauty is a challenge, a difficult and exciting challenge, however when such balance is achieved, and I am convinced it can always be reached, its like nothing on earth.

I pursue and covet that feeling: its just priceless.

    Slim

A successful viral strategy made to send a message

  • The PS4 Slim leaked picture project

A strategy to get the attention of Sony

I posted these images on the internet pretending they came from Sony.Every tiny detail should be credible, I planned carefully a complex strategy to cross the entire internet. The result was so convincing that these pictures became viral in few hours, bouncing on the most important tech and video games websites. Merging all the images, a message was revealed.

The entire story, on my Behance profile.

    A minimal garden light,

    powered by the sun,

    without solar panels

  • How a garden light can be cutting-edge, sophisticated and discreet

Sfera light was my graduation project. Its the solution I designed to finally give a distinctive aesthetic to self-powered lamps. The brief was to design a self-powered lamp for private gardens; my goal was to escape from cumbersome shapes, ugly solar panels or bizarre light effects that affect the market.

This brought me to conceive artificial photosynthesis, a completely new kind of it, as the answer to the question of a self powered, sustainable lamp. This absolutely brand new system is awaiting patent, in case testing will be successful.

Sfera light is not just functionality but also aesthetics, it is basically a pure and clean sphere floating in the air, thanks to the mirror stick that perfectly reflect the world around it.

    Lighter and less obtrusive eyeglasses,

their case spray and clean the lenses,

    without any effort

  • Iride Glasses

    Modern and minimal glasses

Sometimes, I feel, design redesigns, which is part of the process of getting to the new, yet it takes too much for granted, archetype shapes and concepts, thus remaining basically traditional and never really reaching true innovation. I believe that the core of such approach is the fact that existing solutions may be viewed as the best and that cant be challenged.

Eyeglasses are a signicant example of that.

The side legs disappear, in their place the central strap takes a crucial role, in fact it provides perfect fit, balance to the glasses, thanks to its specific, breakthrough patented features. Iride allows to get rid of the actual frame and optical weight of current eyeglasses. It is light weight, discreet and minimalist.

  • I could not redesign eyeglasses without redesigning the case as well. Again, an ordinary, everyday object I would say especially neglected by design not as much as in reconciling its esthetics, but in rethinking its functionality.Irides case is not only beautiful, slim, modern and elegant, but it is also a breakthrough, patented innovation as it creates an absolutely functional case. In fact, thanks to a system of levers and wipers set in its body, Irides case allows to perfectly spray and clean the eyeglasses.

A crazy and bold system integrated

into street lights to manipulate weather

  • A.P.M System

    A different solution

As a student at Brunel University Of London (Erasmus), I was assigned a project to devise a solution to the recurrent, expensive and afflicting problem of flash floods.I was engaged with a more radical approach I felt I should design to prevent the problem, even if it sounds impossible. The starting point should be the cause of the floods and the conditions that were conducive to the phenomenon.

This brought me to study climatology, meteorology and some other related sub-subjects.The A.P.M. System can manipulate atmospheric pressure and theoretically enable to climate change (technical details not shown here),it is not only functional, but also esthetically appealing because of its discreet, sleek appearance adding to the environment.

This innovative and efficient system would be installed on street lights expressly modified for the purpose.

An elegant and smart kitchen table

with a new standard of dimension

  • Kitchen and Dining Room Table

    A functional, beautiful kitchen table

Kitchen tables have been the same throughout the years. In my eyes this is surprising since materials, manufacturing techniques and needs have changed.

The outcome is a product that looks familiar, yet radically different and better. I realized that the current standard 140x80 cm isnt efficient as it doesnt allow equal space for each seat, therefore it is wrongly conceived as a 6 seats table. Some kitchen tables are designed with various kinds of extensions, however they still can not provide harmony and coherence between seats.

My design provides a suitable, as well as esthetically appealing, solution since I drew a new shape considering the average length of shoulders, dimension of dishes, cutlery and glasses.

    Early sketches and foresights

    Sony Ericsson iPhone killer

In 2008 every Apple competitor because of the iPhone, started to propose touchscreen devices or what they claimed to be iPhone killer but actually no one of those did their job because no one of the competitors had a clear idea of the post-iPhone era. This was the Sony Ericsson B1: minimal, functional and smart, small, thin and fashionable.

    First wearable device

When I first saw multitouch in action I immediately thought about a wrist device. These original sketches were made in the summer of 2008.I called this new device: Sony U.M.D:Ultimate Multimedia Device, with a rounded touch screen and a high density 2 display.

    2009 Strategy for Sony Ericsson

Years 2009, Sony Ericsson had started to decline. Its future looked worrisome.Samsung copied Apple and other competitors had no idea what to do.These phones were part of my strategy for Sony Ericsson.Sony acquires Ericsson (4 years later)and other 4 important technologies became real years later
