INTRODUCTION

I am a Geologist graduated from I.S.M. Dhanbad, (M.Tech) and have worked in various companies in the field of engineering geology, petroleum and mineral exploration and published a thesis on application of Geostatistics and GIS tools in hydrogeology and its application in other fields of geology. Petroleum industry is where I am always attracted most and want to become exploration geologist.

Water absorption / percolation test of rock mass for requirement of grouting in tunnel / cavern & open area i.e. upstream of the dam etc.

Backfill, Contact /Consolidation grouting for stabilization of rock mass and curtain grouting.

Blasting of rock mass and underground works. Anchoring and rock bolting of different section sizes and lengths. Fabrication, grouting, tensioning and testing of cable anchors, rock bolts in blind and

through holes. Treatment of large legitimated zones and potentially unstable rock formed by the

intersection of D-3 shear zones/tectonic zones found in the foundation of intakes and sections of H.R.T. (HEAD RACE TUNNEL).

Rock testing including 3-D geo logging and core logging. Face logging and 3-D logging of tunnels and shafts. Foundation geological mapping, wall mapping etc. surface geological mapping &

tunnel logging including 3D- Geo log. Installing and taking reading of MPBX as required by the design of the client in

H.R.T.

PROJECT AND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Training done on Coal Bed Methane exploration and Exploitation in Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, (CIMFR) Dhanbad under Dr.Harendra Singh (Scientist- CIMFR), Training of rock testing to find the porosity and permeability, compressive strength and stress (From 14th September 2009 to 13th October 2009). My research thesis for M.Tech. was “Rain Water Harvesting and Geostatistical Modelling of Ground Water in and around ISM, Dhanbad” under the guidance of Prof. B.C.Sarkar (Professor of Applied Geology Department, ISM Dhanbad) and Dr. S.C.Dhiman (Ex-Chairman C.G.W.B. and Adjunct Professor of Applied Geology Department, ISM Dhanbad). EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
