EMPLOYMENT HISTORY Tropical Aquaculture Products, Inc. & Green Mountain Fresh Rutland, Vermont Marketing Manager October 2009 – Present Tropical is an international company with $60M revenue / year that procures fresh seafood from 15 producers in Central & South America and sells to over 278 clients (large food stores) in 179 cities throughout the US and Canada. Green Mountain Fresh (GMF), a local fresh fish market in Vermont, has doubled their profits every year since 2012. Graphic Design: • Copy writer: Create brochure layout and content by aggregating farming and operations information from Latin

American partners and adapting to market friendly language. Oversee print-press process and distribution. • In-store signage: Design customized signage for various clients along strict corporate branding guidelines (e.g.,

demos and promotions campaigns, counter signage, and POS materials). • Company collateral custom design: Company apparel (corporate uniforms, promotional apparel); Holiday cards

(sent to over 500 clients); Company vehicle graphics (designed promotional brand wrap for company vehicles). Management & Trademark Registration: • Tradeshows & industry appearances/conference: Manage, execute past 7 appearances as the largest

commerce site (e.g., product pages, pricing, availability, and weekly flyers). Social Media Management: • Initiate, design social media platforms for Tropical and GMF, including 4 Facebook pages, 1 Twitter, 1 YouTube

Channel, and 1 LinkedIn (including both B2B and B2C outreach). • Produce content and maintain all social media accounts that yield an average of 33% per year.

Public Relations & Communications • Create company’s monthly client newsletter to establish direct, regular communication with clients. Produce

content, layout vis-à-vis Tropical’s farms, new product lines and updates, new distribution locations, and events. • Write press releases and submit content to industry publications

Advertising (Digital & Print): • Create targeted marketing ads for national consumer publications (e.g., USA Today, Food & Drink Magazine), as

well as direct advertising within industry publications and to potential clients. • Design artwork, email layout, flyers and promotions for GMF’s dynamic e-mail marketing campaigns to 667

customers that has an 18.5% “open” and industry standard click-rate. • Mange customer database, track campaign analytics, and make strategic advertising recommendations.

has nearly 500,000 views. • Film, edit over 6 recipe-videos for Tropical that are used to market fish and engage consumers through

publication on YouTube and social media outlets with top videos gaining over 4,000 views. • Photographer at all tradeshow events and conduct product photo-shoots for later promotional content.

Translation: • Liaison between English speaking US office and several farms/processing plants throughout Central and South

America. Conduct regular verbal and written translations including translator during the course of multiple international trips with Tropical’s owner to Mexico and Ecuador.

PROJECTS Private packaging label development for frozen and fresh seafood products: Between 2011 and 2015 worked to create custom designed private label packaging for frozen and fresh tilapia, shrimp, and crab sold to Publix, Whole Foods Markets, Shop Rite, Loblaw (Canadian), Shellfish Ireland, and BJ’s. This included: • Follow all legal requirements and conduct due process analysis. • Create die-lines (diagrams of packaging) for clients’ standards (color, design, layout and label sizing) and submit

packaging and product specifications (e.g., costs, timeline, deliverables). • Manage all aspects of creating a package for frozen-food products and develop shelf-ready packaging, including

design of nutritional information as per FDA food labeling guidelines. • Submit new packaging artwork for client approval and ensure packaging ready for store delivery. • Oversee submission to packaging manufacturer in China (e.g., approving print proofs) and coordinating shipping

of packaging from China to Ecuador. • Manage implementation and compliance of product shipping guidelines for proper labeling and shipping of master

units between Ecuador and USA. • Conduct product placement tests with customers and their clients for shelf ready product (including testing

spacing, durability of tray boxes, appeal). Fresh Shrimp Product-line development: Developed brand for Tropical’s fresh shrimp line (Blue Foot White Shrimp) including logo creation and brand packaging that was FDA compliant. Collaborated in creation of “Charles Darwin Foundation” in Galapagos Islands to donate $0.01 for every pound of shrimp purchased which, with a 945% increase, increased annual donation from $150 in 2012 to $10,164 in 2015.
