GSE collaborated with Bruce Tolar Architects to provide full engineering services for the construction and renovation of numerous Dairy Queens in Southeast region.

Co-owned by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his wife, Brittany, Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar has experienced amazing growth in recent years. In 2012 the chain was named the #1 Sports Bar in America by ESPN. GSE partnered with Holden Architects to provide engineering design for numerous Walk-On’s restaurant locations throughout Louisiana and Texas. GSE’s scope of work structural, mechanical, electrical, civil and fire protection design.

Various Locations

Founded in Atlanta, GA, this growing pizza chain has over 120 locations in 16 states. GSE provided full engineering services for the construction and renovation of numerous Mellow Mushroom restaurants across the Southeast region.

The first packaging brewery in the state of Mississippi since prohibition, Lazy Magnolia has seen a steady growth in sales since opening the brewery in 2005. With distribution in 16 states, a 15,000 square foot expansion was needed to keep up with the growing demand. GSE provided surveying along with structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical design of the expanded facility.

The Hangout Restaurant is a popular venue located in Gulf Shores, AL. This 23,295 sq. ft. facility is an open air space that is home to many summer activities along the beaches of Gulf Shores. GSE’s scope of work for this facility included mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for the initial construction. Subsequent construction projects included electrical and mechanical engineering design to upgrade the HVAC system and kitchen revisions.

NOTABLE PROJECTS

GSE collaborated with Holden Architects to provide all engineering services for the addition of a full service restaurant and bar constructed on the ground level of Barnes-Jewish Center for Outpatient Health Center. The high end food hall totaled 10,000 square feet upon completion and can seat over 200 guests. The design won an award for best New Concept in St. Louis, MO.

Orange Beach, ALTacky Jacks

GSE consulted for Architect, Brad Lee Patterson, to provide the structural design for an approximate 9,000 square foot addition to Tacky Jacks in Orange Beach, AL. The three level building expansion is supported on precast concrete piling and implements numerous structural systems including moment resisting steel frames, masonry, light gauge metal studs and timber.

GSE collaborated with ANF Architects to provide engineering design for various new Chilli’s restaurants. New restaurants opened in the following cities: Auburn, Madison, Mobile, Fultondale, Decatur, Gadsen, and Montgomery, AL and also in Madison, MS. Each restaurant was a 5,500 square foot new prototype restaurant for Chili’s. GSE’s scope of work included structural, mechanical, electrical, civil site, and fire protection design.

GSE provided the engineering design for all three phases of the retail and restaurant development constructed in Daphne, AL. Build-outs for the development included Moe’s Southwest Grill, Hibachi Express, and Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe.

GSE collaborated with Odom Architects, PC to provide mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for various McAlister Deli’s. A typical McAlister’s design uses an existing white-box building. Incoming utilities and local codes are coordinated with to adapt the McAlister’s prototype design to the building.
