InOctober2015,theGreaterCambridgeCityDealExecu(veBoardlaunchedaformalpublicconsulta;on,askingthepublicforitsviewsonthebestrouteforanewbus&cycle-routebetweenCambourneandCambridge.

Ithasbeenproducedlocally.Itrepresentsasmuchaspossibleabroadconsensusoflocalopinionalongtheroute.
WhyisitcalledBOLD?
• wetookthename“Bold”fromtheJunemee;ngoftheCityDealAssembly,whenvariousAssembly-memberscalledfor“aboldapproachtoCambridge’stransportproblems”.
• ourproposalsareindeedbold,construc;veandforward-looking:theywillcaterforthegrowingvolumeoftraffic;theyincludeextensiveoff-roadcycleroutes;theyaddressthe“WesternOrbital”routetotheBiomedicalCampus;theyaredeliverable;andtheycanbeconstructedinstagesasaddi;onalfinancebecomesavailable.
