2013-14 RTI At Pathfinder

We needed to walk before we could run…We focused on getting good at being us!

COLLABORATIVE SCHOOL CULTURE

• Teachers work not in isolation, but together, to clarify essential

learning and develop common strategies for assessing

learning.

• Schools develop, design, implement, and evaluate new

practices for raising student achievement.

FOCUSED ON RESULTS

• Measure effectiveness on the basis of results rather than

intentions.

• Aligned goal setting and tracking for the organization, staff,

and students

2013-14 RTI At Pathfinder We are getting back to the basics…

Ask ourselves these simple PLC questions…

What is it we want students to learn?

Learning Target

How will we know when each student has achieved the learning?

Common Assessment

How will we respond when a student is not learning?

Data Analysis and Intervention Groups

How will we respond when we know a student has mastered the

learning?

2013-14 RTI At Pathfinder How will we measure success?

Second…grade levels create a common assessment specific to

their identified learning targets.

Third…teachers administer the assessment to all students and grade the assessment. Teachers meet to chart the assessment

data to determine where students fall within the following areas:

* Proficient

* Close to proficient

* Far from proficient

* Intervention

Page 10: Response To Intervention An Overvie · Response To Intervention January 2014 Parent Curriculum Night Pathfinder Elementary . Goals for the power point… • As a result of this curriculum

2013-14 RTI At Pathfinder Fourth…begin the process of analyzing the assessment data. * Identify students’ strengths and misconceptions for

the learning goal.

Fifth…identify student needs and begin creating interventions for ALL students.

* Not only analyze learning target assessment results…But also professional judgment, DRA, SEL and STAR, reading fluency, guided reading practice.
