By the time this newsletter is printed, the Grade 3-6 students and their four dedicated, yet slightly tired teachers will be on camp. Well, we made it to the Discovery Centre and settled in to our home away from home for the next three nights. Lots of excited chatter and laughter accompanied the process of finding and exploring rooms and the facilities. The journey so far has brought with it some amazing opportunities for students to visit Channel 7 studios, Old Melbourne Gaol and hear about the story of Ned Kelly and the awesome views from the Eureka Skydeck. Still many more fabulous adventures are yet to come, such as our trip down the River to Scienceworks (going in style), Melbourne aquarium, Captain Cook’s Cottage and the highligh t of cruising the Queen Victoria market for some bargains! I am sure by Friday afternoon there will be some very tired little people and some very excited parents waiting our return. Camp updates will be on the schools facebook page. On Thursday 15 th Oct, our Prep and Grade 1 and 2 students will visit Healesville Sanctuary for a special day investigating wildlife and learning about how these animals live and survive in their habitats. Please remember students need to be at school by 8.30am for a prompt departure at 9am. A good sleep on Friday night and a restful day on Saturday, should see all students ready to showcase our school’s singing talent at The Bluegrass Festival, Community Concert on Sunday, 18 th Oct. The community concert starts at 12.30pm, however Kinglake Primary School students will singing with Carter and Carter at 2.10pm and in the finale at 4.00pm, so please come along and support our school. If students can please arrive and meet at the Main Marquee by 1.45pm. Well, it has been a very busy start to Term 4 with lots of excitement and lots of learning ahead. I am slowly meeting everyone and learning names! Please come in, say hello and have a chat when you can. Thank you for your support, as we forge on into this last term of the year. Hello, all the way from Melbourne City!

By the time this newsletter is printed, the Grade 3-6 students and their four dedicated, yet slightly tired teachers will be on

camp. Well, we made it to the Discovery Centre and settled in to our home away from home for the next three nights. Lots of

excited chatter and laughter accompanied the process of finding and exploring rooms and the facilities. The journey so far has

brought with it some amazing opportunities for students to visit Channel 7 studios, Old Melbourne Gaol and hear about the

story of Ned Kelly and the awesome views from the Eureka Skydeck. Still many more fabulous adventures are yet to come,

such as our trip down the River to Scienceworks (going in style), Melbourne aquarium, Captain Cook’s Cottage and the highlight

of cruising the Queen Victoria market for some bargains! I am sure by Friday afternoon there will be some very tired little

people and some very excited parents waiting our return. Camp updates will be on the schools facebook page.

On Thursday 15th Oct, our Prep and Grade 1 and 2 students will visit Healesville Sanctuary for a special day investigating wildlife

and learning about how these animals live and survive in their habitats. Please remember students need to be at school by

8.30am for a prompt departure at 9am.

A good sleep on Friday night and a restful day on Saturday, should see all students ready to showcase our school’s singing

talent at The Bluegrass Festival, Community Concert on Sunday, 18th Oct. The community concert starts at 12.30pm, however

Kinglake Primary School students will singing with Carter and Carter at 2.10pm and in the finale at 4.00pm, so please come

along and support our school. If students can please arrive and meet at the Main Marquee by 1.45pm.

Well, it has been a very busy start to Term 4 with lots of excitement and lots of learning ahead. I am slowly meeting everyone

and learning names! Please come in, say hello and have a chat when you can. Thank you for your support, as we forge on into

this last term of the year.

Family Payments 2016.

In the next few weeks details of Family Payments for 2016 will be sent home.

In my discussions with many families I have discovered that the Guidelines, Regulations

and Policies regarding Parent Payments (Booklist Fees) are very confusing and unclear.

I promise I will clear this up by publishing the Departments Policy on this matter when I

send home details of next years fees.

For those few families who still owe for the books and requisites received this year I

would really appreciate it if you would finalise your payments by 1st November.

Remember we now have

EFTPOS !!!

We now have the easy convenience of paying at school with EFTPOS.

The MOTO feature which allows you to pay with your credit card over the phone or by sub-

mitting your details is also up and running. (Eg. Details on permission forms).

You may still like to pay directly into our account. Our details are as follows:

BSB 063 855 Account : 1002 8740 Just use your Surname/Fees for reference.

TERM 4 IS A SUNSMART TERM !

DON’T FOGET YOUR HAT AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE DRESSED FOR THE SUN !

Hats are to be worn at all times when outside and clothing must cover shoulders to prevent any damage

from the sun. Students who are not dressed appropriately or do not have a hat will have to remain in-

doors or in a solid shaded area.

Singlets or show string strapped tops are not permitted to be worn at school.

A BIG thank you to the Harward Family for

their craft donations to our ART program.
