Who We Are:

What We Offer:

• Team locker room

• 3hrs of on-ice practice per week

• 36 regular season games

• 2 showcases at a location TBD….8 games

• Hotels and food provided for overnight games

• Bussing to all away league games and showcase

games

What We Offer:• 2 off-ice workouts per week with a full-time strength and

conditioning coach, including core strengthening, shooting, & stickhandling exercises

• Regular goal-setting and progress reports

• Video session breakdowns of practices and games, and all games will be streamed live

• Sessions with a Sports Enhancement specialist

• Optional Nutrition plan

Nutrition Plan

• Players will be given a comprehensive nutrition plan that provides guidance regarding meal design for:

• Breakfast,

• Lunch,

• Afternoon snack,

• Dinner, and

• Bedtime snack.

• Players will not be required to adhere to the team’s nutrition plan, but it is highly recommended that they do.

Player’s PackageThe Cobourg Galaxy will provide the following equipment to each player:

• Game Jerseys (1 home, 1 away)

• Practice Jersey

• Socks (1 home, 1 away)

• Pant Covers (1)

• Track Suit (1)

• Shorts and T-shirt

• Sticks (2)

• Gloves (1)

• Access to a Skate Sharpening Machine

• Hockey Bag (1)

Player’s Package

Our League: The CPJHL

• The inaugural 2016-17 season of the

Canadian Premier Junior Hockey

League was successfully concluded in

March 2017

• Achieving tremendous success in its

first year, team owners demonstrated

a commitment to cooperative efforts

and a player-centric business model

• For the 2017-18 season the CPJHL is

poised to have ten teams

concentrated in south-central and

south-western Ontario

a non-profit association regulating the athletes of 1,281 institutions

• The most elite college hockey in the USA• Division 1: Scholarships + Financial Aid• Division 3: No Scholarships or Financial Aid• Grades are a must!!!

• American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA): a chartered non-profit corporation that is the national governing body of club or non-varsity college ice hockey

Cause Marketing• Cobourg Galaxy and the CPJHL value giving back to local communities

• We ask that players align themselves with a charity or local cause that helps others

• Players are to pair up with a teammate and inform the team in writing of a charity/cause that they are interested in and the team will coordinate and facilitate the player’s involvement with that charity/cause

Sponsorship• Parents may subsidize their child’s fees by selling

sponsorships

• The Cobourg Galaxy will provide sponsorship packages and assist in coordinating and facilitating sponsorship opportunities

• 25% of net sponsorship sales will be credited toward a player’s fees if so desired

Billeting

• Members of the Cobourg Galaxy in need of

accommodation in the Cobourg area will be billeted

with a local family.

• The team’s staff will carefully pre-select host families

to ensure a safe, comfortable environment enabling

all out of town players to succeed both on and off

the ice.

• Billet accommodations are available to players for

$500 per month which is paid directly to the host

family by the player.

Education and Employment

• The Cobourg Galaxy plays an active role in the

off-ice development of its players. Players will

be provided with access to educational and

career counseling as required.

• Upon joining the team, the Cobourg Galaxy can

assist in finding employment for our players.

Unfortunately, based on citizenship and

immigration issues, we cannot locate

employment for international players.

• Enrollment in high-school programs is available

for school age players with accessibility to

public, catholic and private options.

Coaching StaffHead Coach: Brian Bell

Coach Bell has 15 years of coaching and skill development

training experience at all levels from Mite to Junior. He played 3

years Pro with the Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings and

Rotterdam Pandas organizations. He is also a Potsdam State

University Hall of Fame Inductee owning 90% of Potsdam Scoring

Records after only playing 3 years; an NCAA All American; and 2

time SUNYAC and ECAC Player of the year.
