The plan

• Resource centre for the primary section ( 450 kids in class 1,2,3,4)

• Books, cds and teaching aids for each learning level – pre-primary to grade 4

• Resources shall be used for library period as a manadatory session per week for every class – agreed by school mgmt.

Where we are today• Already collected the following:– 700 books ( used and new)– A projector– A printer

• Infrastructure for storage–No decent storage space currently– School mgmt to provide for separate

space only– Storage material ( cupboards etc ) shall

not be provided

What we need

To start with, the resource centre needs atleast 5000 books.

• Books ( used as well as new) – for age groups upto 12 : Only in English– Storybooks– Reference books ( Encyclopedia, dictionary etc)– Phonics reading books– Picture reading books– Chidren’s magazines

• Storage material ( cupboards, shelves etc.)• Teaching Aid Material - Educational Charts,

Educational CDs, Children’s Films• PC with a CD drive• Donations
