From Residential Schools
to Reconciliation:
A Celebration of Art & Writing
As part of Alberta’s Project of Heart, students from across theprovince are invited to share their writings and artwork that
depict their understanding of the people of Alberta’s
journey towards reconciliation. The celebration is open to all
students, Grades 1 to 12. Participants may submit works of
art, poetry, film, video or writings for this celebration.
On May 24, 2016, students will be connecting globally
through video conference technology for a LIVE conversationon how we can continue our journey towards reconciliation.
All artwork will be exhibited on the TakingITGlobal Global
Gallery.
The top art pieces from each category (K-2, 3-6, 7-9, & 10-12)
will be added to Alberta’s Project of Heart e-book, as well as
being especially featured on the TakingITGlobal Global Gallery.
Student artwork and essays can be submitted up until May 30,2016.

Celebration Rules and Rubric.
