Household Battery Recycling The City of San Dimas has free battery recycling drop off at the Public Works counter at City Hall and a kiosk at the Senior Center, both located at 245 E. California City residents can recycle trees and wreaths on the first two regularly scheduled pickup days after Christmas, by placing them at the curb on their service day. Trees longer than six (6) feet must be cut in half. Please remove all decorations including tinsel, lights, ornaments and tree stands.

•Hosting a party at home? Be sure to clearly label recycling containers so guests can conveniently recycle bottles, cans, paper and other recyclables.

•Celebrations always mean lots of leftovers! Store them in reusable containers and have a compost bin for food scraps- they’re great for your garden!

•Don’t forget to bring your reusable bags with you when shopping for party decorations and food.

Start the Year Fresh with Bulky Item CollectionIf getting rid of extra junk is part of your New Year’s Resolution, let us help! Residents receive up to three (3) free bulky item pick-ups per year. Please contact Waste Management Customer Service at least 48 hours in advance of your regular service day to schedule the pickup, or schedule online at WMCaliforniaCity.com.Acceptable items include sofas, chairs, washers, dryers, toilets, etc. Non-acceptable items include tires, batteries, paints, oils, construction debris, chemicals of any kind, Freon, rocks, sand, gravel, dirt, logs, carpet, hazardous or medical waste or items requiring more than two persons to safely handle.

Free Backyard Valet Service for Disabled PersonsCustomers who are disabled and do not have an able-bodied adult in the home who can take out their trash carts, may qualify for free backyard valet service by a Waste Management driver.

Discount ProgramsThe City of San Dimas and Waste Management offer discount programs for San Dimas

residents. Apply for these discounts by contacting Waste Management Customer Service.

Senior Discount Program: All customers 65 years and older may qualify to receive a 30% discount on their Waste Management bill. To qualify, simply fill out the Discount Application Form available online or call Waste Management Customer Service. Proof of age with a California ID is required. Account must be in applicant’s name to receive discount.

Drought Tolerant Landscape Discount Program: Customers who no longer need green waste services may qualify for a $2.95 per month discount. To receive this discount, customers must surrender all of their green waste carts and not receive green waste pick up.

Got Leaves?(December- February)Too much green waste for your cart? Simply place any green waste that does not fit in your cart in bags and call Waste Management to schedule a pick-up.
