II. Gathering information Gather all information and data relevant to the topic.

Testimonies of the parties & witnesses Important documents such as NBI records, bank account records if money is involved, etc., Going to public and private libraries, law libraries, online or virtual libraries, and official websites of the governments. Identify key terms by focusing on the following:

Parties involved Places where the facts arose Acts or omissions that form basis of the action Objects or things used or present during the incident Defense to the action or issue Relief being sought

III. Learning more about on the area of the law being researched Secondary Authority : Book(s): Notes and Cases on the Revised Penal Code (Books 1 & 2) and Special Penal Laws by Leonor Boado.
