The OCP Policy Center tackles global issues pertaining to the agricultural sector, such as climate change, environmental protection, and global demographic shifts, with a special focus on developing countries.
Through a macroeconomic lens, the program focuses on drivers of competitiveness and innovation addressing issues such as growth strategies, industrial specialization, and sectorial development from a national, regional, and international perspective.

This program focuses on commodities that are of particular importance to the African continent, the role of renewable energy, the emergence of new centers of production and consumption, the role of financialization, and the behavior of the various actors in commodity markets.
This program emphasizes the need for a wider perspective in national and continental policy-making strategies, striving to engage an informed debate on (i) the contexts of Morocco and other African countries, (ii) the future of the Atlantic space, and (iii) areas for growth and potential partnerships.

The OCP Policy Center publishes policy briefs, policy papers, research papers, books, reports and other formats, in order to promote a “southern perspective” in each of the topics examined.
The incubator plays an advisory role in terms of corporate and public policies, experimenting real world policy implementation in collaboration with various stakeholders.
The OCP Policy Center regularly hosts events in which leading policy makers, academics, and other stakeholders gather in the spirit of open debate. These events also provide an excellent opportunity to disseminate work undertaken in the context of
policy research endeavors.

The OCP Policy Center is a Moroccan policy-oriented think tank based in Rabat, Morocco, striving to contribute to knowledge sharing and to enrich reflection on key economic and international relations issues that are considered essential to the economic and social development of Morocco, and more broadly to the African continent. For this purpose, the think tank relies on independent research, a network of partners and leading research associates to produce policy-oriented solutions in the spirit of a public good and a platform for open exchange
and debate.
By offering the "Southern perspective" from an African middle-income country, on major international debates and strategic challenges that developing and emerging countries are facing, The OCP Policy Center aims to make a meaningful contribution to key thematic areas ranging from agriculture to
finance to commodity economics.
The OCP Policy Center aims to be an incubator of ideas and a proactive source of forward thinking and proposed actions for public policies. The think tank is also dedicated to bridging academic research and policy making for the purpose of strengthening the southern community.
Our think tank is actively engaged in the analyzes of public policies, promoting international cooperation for the development of countries in the southern hemisphere.
