I owe much thankfulness to the Department of Computer Science, where I spent two rich and meaningful years for M.Phil. The program covered both theoretical course study and research work on selected CS areas (my selections were game theory and robotics). I was greatly impressed by the arrangement of seminars presided by renowned scholars and professionals, which broaden our vision and imagination in CS area, as well as the fierce but interesting group discussions held every week, which provided great opportunities to train my immediate response and oral presentation skills……

……I received my Bachelor and Ph.D. degrees, both in HKBU... After my Ph.D. graduation, I immediately joined the Department of Computer Science as an Assistant Professor… I am very grateful to have a good learning experience in the department. The professors are nice and they are really the experts…In my study at HKBU, the Christian Education was helping me to develop my positive attitude (e.g., persistent, self-development) toward my life.

When I came to Hong Kong, one of the world's leading technological and financial centers, I have deeply felt the rapid life rhythm and the competitive circumstance. People are open-minded and hard working. They have concrete future career plan.
As a research oriented postgraduate student, I am so appreciated that our department provides us with a valuable training platform, especially a number of inspiring academic activities which benefits me a lot in both building solid research skills and career planning. I believe I become more capably versatile than before and I have more confidence for my future careers.

I study in Hong Kong for around 2 years. I was offered plenty of resource to explore my interested research topics. I believe that it would be one of the most important experiences for me to cherish so far. Hong Kong is such an international platform that I can be accessed to kinds of excellent experts, touched the forest research topic, and learnt practical business concepts. I enjoy my life in Hong Kong which is inclusive, energetically and full of opportunities, challenges and self-motivate spirit.

Our Graduates Miss Jinni Liang
“I was attracted by this Programme because its level is comparable to similar programmes in foreign famous universities but its tuition fee is relatively lower. My undergraduate specialty was computer science and technology, and the courses emphasized very much on the technical side. However, I prefer management and intend to engage management-related jobs in IT field. Therefore, the M.Sc. in IT Management Programme is a perfect choice for me.”
