Requisites for Admission

Any CPA who is residing or has his place of business in the locality of the Chapter, and who binds himself

with the Art of I & By-laws may

(a) upon filing of an application for membership and approval of such application by the NB on the

favorable recommendation of the CB,

(b) payment of the required initial membership fee and entrance fee, annual membership dues, and

(c) taking the membership oath or pledge, be admitted as a member of the Chapter.

Initial Membership Dues

>A new member is required to pay an initial membership fee at an amount which shall

be determined by the NB.

> Per latest Board resolutionP100 Initial Membership fee

>The initial membership fees shall be

be remitted in full to the National Office within 20 working days after EOM of collection

Annual Membership Dues

> Annual membership dues of P1,000.00

(until a new rate is determined and fixed by the NB with the approval of the PRC).

>Any change in the rate of the annual membership dues fixed by the Board and approved by PRC

shall not become effective until the next succeeding year and only after due notice shall have given to the membership.

>Amount is payable on or before Sept 30 of the FY

> A member joining during the year shall pay the full year's dues.

Unpaid Dues

>Any member whose dues or other accounts remain unpaid for two (2) months after the prescribed last day of payments as provided for by Section 3 of Article XV of the Amended By- Laws shall automatically be dropped from the Membership Roster of PICPA within the succeeding sixty (60) days with written notice to that effect to the member concerned.

Unpaid Dues

>Termination of membership shall not free the said member from any of his/her obligations and/or accountability to the Institute or Chapter.

>Only upon payment of all dues in arrears and/or obligations may the NB, by two thirds (2/3) vote, restore him/her to his/her bonafide membership status.

>The CB shall report to the NB for action a list of members for membership termination.

Billing of Membership Dues

>The Chapter in coordination with the NS shall handle the billing of membership dues.

>Billings on current year’s membership dues

shall be rendered and released by the NS

on or before July 1 of each year

>A new member shall be billed upon approval of his/her application for membership. >A confirmation billing shall be made by the NS not later than September 30 of each year.

Special Assessments

>The CB may impose special assessments on members to support the specific activities and

projects of the Chapter, provided this fact is reported in writing to the NB within a reasonable time for its approval.

Membership Dues Collected by NO

>In case payment is received by the NO from a particular chapter member, the NO shall inform and send to the chapter concerned the amount it should correspondingly receive as Chapter share

NO shall remit the shares of the Chapter within 30 days from receipt of payment.

GAOs and RCs’ share shall be included in thenormal remittqances.

Withdrawal of Membership

>The Membership Committee shall recognize the resignation and withdrawal from membership by a member not upon the receipt of the letter of

resignation or withdrawal but upon acceptance or approval thereof by the CB, which shall accordingly notify the NB within fifteen (15) days of such action.

>A Chapter may refuse to accept or retain membership through a CB resolution duly approved by the NB.
