Please note that you need to set up/request two systems/SID to get the license keys for

1. your SAP Business System (running on SAP NetWeaver) system 2. your SAP HANA installation

You can request both license keys under each Non-SAP BusinessObjects installation numbers under your account. 1. License key request for SAP Business Suite Applications with SAP HANA database

You have to request a license key with SAP Product NetWeaver (or ERP, CRM, etc.) and database SAP HANA database.

License type in step 4 Hardware Data is Standard. A Maintenance Certificate will be created automatically with your request.

Copyright/Trademark

After submitting the request you will receive a license key file which contains a license key for your Business Suite system. This file needs to be installed in transaction Slicense. Verification: The file contains one line with SWPRODUCTNAME=NetWeaver_HDB and one with SWPRODUCTNAME=Maintenance_HDB. 2. License key request for SAP HANA database

To get the license key for the SAP HANA database you need to request for a New System. Do not request for the existing NW1 system.

Click on New System; insert the SID of the SAP HANA database and Continue.

Copyright/Trademark

If the SID of the SAP HANA database has the same SID you will receive a Duplicate System ID pop-up with the information that there is already an existing system with the same SID. In this example its the SID of the Business Suite system requested in step 1.

Click on New System and go on with your request. Choose SAP Product SAP HANA platform edition. If you are licensed for SAP HANA Enterprise (extended) edition, please also use SAP HANA platform edition as the key is for the platform.

In step 4 Hardware Data you will see the correct license type SAP In-memory Appliance Enterprise and field quantity. You need to specify the main memory in GB you are licensed for.

After submitting the request you will receive a license key file which contains a license key for your SAP HANA database. This file needs to be installed in the HANA Studio.

Verification: The file contains one line with SWPRODUCTNAME=SAP HANA and one line with the quantity you have requested, e.g. SWPRODUCTLIMIT=0000000128. 3. System overview and Service Connections

You will see two SIDs for the same system in the license key request application and in the system data application. For service connections you will then have to maintain the servers and always raise the ticket on the right SID depending on where you have the problem. 4. License for SAP HANA Enterprise Edition includes usage of SAP BusinessObjects Data

Integrator

If you are licensed to use SAP HANA enterprise edition or SAP HANA extended enterprise edition you are also entitled to use SAP BusinessObjects Data Integrator. SAP BusinessObjects Data Integrator needs a license key to be activated. Please note that this license key has to be requested under an SAP BusinessObjects installation number. If you do not have a SAP BusinessObjects installation number under your account yet please request one on http://support.sap.com Keys, Systems and Installations Installation Data. 5.
