Contract – Task Order Process

Contract and Task Order Assignment
Pre-qualification will be in effect for an initial 3-year period, with two one-
year extension options
SFCTA intends to execute contracts before or concurrently with a first task
order
Task orders will identify needed expertise, and pre-qualified firms may be
invited to submit proposals and/or participate in oral interviews
Lead firms shall confirm team availability and organization at time of task
order proposals/negotiations
New sub-consultants may be proposed for a task order, subject to SFCTA
review and acceptance of qualifications

► It is the policy of the Transportation Authority to make good faith efforts
to solicit and obtain quotes, bids, or proposals from DBEs, SBEs, and
LBEs, and to provide maximum feasible opportunity to participate in the
performance of contracts.
► The Transportation Authority has not established a DBE, SBE or LBE goal
for this RFQ and master contract, but will establish goals and
requirements for each task order request, based on the project’s
funding sources and specific scope of work.
► The Transportation Authority accepts these certifications:
DBE certifications from the California Unified Certification Program or
from the Transportation Authority
SBE certifications from the California Department of General Services
LBE certifications from the City and the Transportation Authority
► Certification requirements applications are available on the
Transportation Authority’s website at www.sfcta.org/dbe

November 15 Written responses to questions issued; addenda if necessary (via www.sfcta.org)
November 302:00 PM deadline for responses to RFQ and sealed cost proposals. Late submissions not
accepted.
December 9 Invitation to Interview issued to short list of respondents (if necessary)
Dec. 14-16 Interviews (scheduled if necessary)
January 10 Recommendation to Finance Committee for award (subject to change)
January 24 Transportation Authority Board awards contract (subject to change)
