When to use the Reprographics ServiceAny colour copying or outputting or desk top design requests must come into Reprographics. For everything else staff are able to photocopy and print in black and white on 11 MFDs (multi-functional devices) which are located around the school for ‘follow me printing’. Toners and paper are held by Repro please let us know when these are required.

Jobs sent to print by staff themselves are stored on a server and can be released on any machine either via biometric (thumb) recognition or User Login. This technology is supported by the Network Manager and his team. Students can output to these MFDs in black and white also. Please act responsibly and only print what you or your students really need. There is a cost for every copy/print made by individuals and this is allocated to relevant faculties and reported to the School Business Manager every month.

How do I request a Reprographics job? Please complete a Copying Request Form (sample shown on page 5) located on the left side wall in the Reprographics area and attach it to your original in the JOB TRAY.

Make sure you include a date for when you need your copies (‘ASAP’ is not specific enough).

Copying can be done from hardcopy. The quality of reproduction will depend on the quality of the original. If we need to correct an original or make a new one this will add to turnaround time.

You can also submit requests electronically. Go to the ‘REPRO’ folder on ‘Faculties’ drive on the network. Find and complete the “Repro Request Form”. Email the form together with the digital file to be used to: [email protected]

Artwork / DesignReprographics staff can create new forms and other items. Remember this will take time so you will need to plan for this in advance. A small code number is printed on forms to indicate version tracking and date of issue.

How long will it take for my job to be completed?Normally within 48 hours but this will vary during busy periods in the school calendar. Please make Reprographics staff aware if your job is of an urgent nature.

Where can I collect my finished job?Completed jobs are left on the shelving opposition SLG offices in the admin area. We will email staff to let them know the work is ready to collect.

How are jobs charged?Charging is automatically recorded on MFDs through individual biometric ID or Login and called off in a report by department at the end of every month.

The work Repro staff do ‘on behalf’ of departments is recorded in the same way - by using unique staff codes. Any other service or resource (laminating, comb binding, paper, blank disks, etc.) is hand written in the Job Log book by Reprographics staff and recorded in a spreadsheet for each department at the end of each month. A list of charges can be found on page 11.
