I have represented my artist, "Professor Brown" (Pro B) as being a rebellious, cheeky bad boy in the music industry. Firstly the clothes he is wearing gives this impression as he is wearing a baseball jacket, black jeans, black and white high tops and a white snapback. These clothes present this idea to the readers as they make him look like a typical rapper, and stereotypical rappers like to represent themselves as being rebellious and cool. In addition to this the black and white colour scheme of his clothes creates connotations of cool and also power, which relates to Professor Brown's fame and success.

On the cover the photo of him has him have a serious face with a slight smile making him look cheeky as well as rebellious. This links to how he is still a teenager although he is a rapper and also in the article when he talks about him just being a normal person. The photo on the contents page is a location shot with Pro B leaning against a brick wall, representing him as being an urban, down to earth character, with links to the genre of he magazine and also the target audience as Pro B is similar to the primary audience who read RnB magazines. The photo on the double page spread is similar to this as well. On the double page spread he is leaning against the wall with one of his legs bent against it. This makes him look laid back and relaxed which links to the connotation of cool, which is how he has been represented.

On the second double page spread there is a faded photo of him standing with his back to the reader and both hands up swearing. This displays him again as being rebellious and also shows his confidence and his pride. There is also a close up photo which differs from the other ones, as although he is making direct eye contact like the other photos he is smiling, which contrasts to the photos where he has a serious face. An image of the model smiling presents not only him but the magazine as a whole as being welcoming, and the reader feels drawn to it.

I have tried to represent him as a successful artist so that it would relate to the Uses and Gratifications theory by forming a personal relationship with the reader as male readers would idolize him. This is emphasised by also trying to display him as being a young teenager who is associated with the genre of Rap, which the audience could also relate to. On the front cover and contents page I have put the names of other successful music artists within the same genre so that my artist can be associated with them, emphasising his success as a music artist, which the reader would enjoy reading about which is why I have put it in my magazine.
