Characterized by a special charisma, Juan Carlos Castro Munguía and Irineo Limón Vargas, seemed to have a special light that sheltered them to undertake personal and entrepreneurial projects. Then, something else was added to the list of things they had in common: cancer, a disease that caused their physical aspect to deteriorate and their motor

functionality was running out, however, their attitude, emotional strength, the fortitude of their essence only got bigger to build a legitimate desire in their hearts, emanated from the bottom of their hearts: to aid young boys and girls with cancer.

His parents facing an indescribable pain: the loss of a child, immediately after their death sought to accomplish the mission by jointly creating the Castro-Limón Fund. After some time, it becomes a Foundation, consolidating the project to achieve the Vision of what today is a clear reality: building a center of pediatric oncology specialities, where young boys and girls would be treated with respect and love in a friendly, decent and comfortable environment, along with the characteristic solidarity of Bajacalifornians: named the Oncologic Pediatric Center of B.C. (COP).

This is the true Genesis: deep love, commitment to others, the power to turn a big challenge into an opportunity, the fortitude to overcome a great loss, the strength to make decisions surrounded by

sadness, courage, character, acceptance, generosity, temperance. To date, this genesis keeps providing us with rock solid support in our tasks.

Today, we want a childhood without cancer, therefore we keep constructing, building a dream, collecting funds through our programs and projects to keep on giving Hope for Life through the COP; but above all, we keep adding wills, hearts, energy, talent, time dedication, the effort of men and women who are determined to be part of this dream, of this hope.
