Inauguration of Vending Machine

On occasion of International Women’s Day, in a sign of Increasing sensitivity to the needs of women, Zeal Institute, Pune has set up a sanitary napkin vending machine in the women's common room. It is among the first few colleges in the city to install the amenity, and several are set to follow suit. The demand for the machine was instantly approved by the institute management and the college authorities after representatives of the students' council and the women's development cell (WDC) approached with the idea. The machine, which dispenses a pack of two pads after punching a smart card , is already a hit on the campus. Zeal Education Society has inaugurated Four Vending Machine for Sanitary Napkins at different location in the campus and distributed 1000 RFID cards for the welfare of its girl students. These kind of machines are important in emergency situations, it is important to have such a facility nearby, especially in schools and colleges where the girls are new to the entire process of menstruation. It is important because going out and buying is not always an option. The girls need to have freedom of access to sanitary napkins whenever they need it. An initiative like this will ensure they need not go around asking for it. It will empower all Lady Faculties and Girl Students to save them from the trouble of asking friends every now and then when we get their periods unannounced. Zeal Institute is also looking forward to install Sanitary napkin disposal machines to reduce the pollution created during decomposing of these sanitary napkins. During the event all instructions and training given to the participants.

Inauguration of Martial Budo Arts Club

On occasion of International Women’s Day, Zeal have inaugurated Martial Budo Arts Club in Campus because our management have realized the importance for a girl to get involved in the martial arts, as it is the capacity for self-defense that she will develop. In today’s increasingly violent world, crime can strike anywhere. Women are often times the target of crimes and, not knowing how to defend themselves, it can scar a young girl for her entire life. Being able to know how to defend herself is an invaluable tool as she grows up, taking her skills with her to college, and it gives not only her but also her parents a feeling that at least their daughter is safe. And girls who are trained in karate is not a “PREY” but a lethal “PREDATOR” who can knock off anybody, any number of person, at any situation, when required. So self defense is must now a days to stay safe and lead a healthy lifestyle. During the occasion Girl students from Zeal Polytechnic presented dynamic performance of Martial Budo Arts, also taught simple yet effective techniques of self-defence from martial arts to the girl students and lady faculties which has been appreciated by all dignitaries.
