It is our great pleasure to inform that ECE department, Narula Institute of

Technology, has taken the initiative to organize the zonal workshop cum

competition of Robonext,sponsored by Robospaien and IIT Bombay. To start

with we, the co-ordinator of the event, Dr.Saradindu Panda (HOD of ECE &

Teacher Co-ordinator), Mainak Chakrabarty (Student Co-ordinator) and Hitesh

Shukla (Student Co-ordinator), would like to thanks our beloved Managing

Director Sir, Director Sir and College Authority to give us all the necessary

support to organize the event and have a grand success at the end.We would

like to thank our Principal Madam, Prof (Dr.) Maitreyi Ray Kanjilal for giving

the permission to organize the event at our college. We would also like to thank

our Registrar & Administrative Officer madam, Mrs.Nidhi Singh to give us the

all the required hands and allowing us to use the VLSI Lab even at weekends.

Lastly, we would like to give thanks to Mr. Soumen Pal (Faculty of ECE

department), Mr. Avijit Dey (Technical Assistant of ECE department) & the

Participants for giving their time to this event.

The whole event took place on 18th-19th October, 2014.The event was hosted by

a research person named Mr.Soumya Ranjan Panda. He divided each day into

two session in the 1st day 1st session he taught about the basics of electronics

like resistor,capacitors, transistors. He discussed about the scope and

application of robotics in todays world and in future. He has also given the

video demonstrstion. In the 2nd session of the 1st day he provided the robo kit

to each group and taught them the assembling of the kit.He later discussed

about the configuration of the micro controller chip to be used by the students

in the kit.

On the second day dated 19th October, 2014 1st session he discussed the the

components to be used in the robot. He demonstrated the circuitry of

multivibrator and undergone various question and answering session to clarify

the doubts of the students.

Hands on session : Mr.Soumya Ranjan Panda, demonstrated how to

assemble the Kit to make a Robot.

Practice Session: Students were practicing to assemble the Kits to make a

Robot.

On the second 2nd session of the second day he conducted the competition in

which the student had to prepare a edge alert sensing robo. He has given one

hour to all the group to complete the task.Lastly two teams were successful to

complete the task within the given time. The group consists of 2nd year and 3rd

year students of Electronics and Communication department of Narula

Institute of technology and Heritage Institute of technology.

Champion of the Zonal Competition & 1st Qualifier team for final

competition which will be held at IIT Bombay in 2015.

About Robo-Next 2015

Robo-Next 2015 is a 03rd edition and a unique initiative powered by iSec Systems in association with Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY. First two editions were successfully conducted in association with Saashtra, IIT-MADRAS. This Event is designed dedicatedly for the students with keen interest in the field of emerging technologies. Robo-Next is a specially designed programme for the college students to provide a new dimension to their education other than theirs academics. Robo-Next provides an all new National Level Competition Platform for the college students to show their potential in a very different module. There are 3 ROUNDS for this Program. PRELIMINARY ROUNDS

The first two stages of the event will be organized at the various Zonal Centres located in only 30 different cities pan India.

1st ROUND:

Would be comprised of 2 days workshop on various advance modules offered by us in which knowledge and rudimentary concepts will be provided to the participating students. 2nd ROUND: Commences after the completion of the Workshop i.e. a competition would be executed among the students who have participated in the workshop. GRAND FINALE ROUND The last round of the event will be conducted during Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY. 3rd AND THE GRAND FINALE ROUND: Of this event will organize at Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY where winners of each Zonal Centre would be invited to come and participate at the final showdown at Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY.

Our Exclusive selected Zonal Centres will get an opportunity to be nominated in our various categories listed below; the winners will be awarded with various goodies/cash prizes/gift vouchers at the Grand Finale of Robo-Next 2015 in association with Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY.

Best Faculty Coordinator Award: Faculty Coordinators of all the Zonal Centres will be nominated for this award category and some of them will be awarded with “Best Faculty Coordinator Award” in IIT-BOMBAY campus during Padarth ‘15.

Best Student Coordinator Award: Student Coordinators of all the Zonal Centres will be nominated for this award category and some of them will be awarded with “Best Student Coordinator Award” in IIT-BOMBAY campus during Padarth ‘15.

Best Zonal Event Organizer Award: Our exclusive Zonal Centres will be nominated for this award category and some of them will be awarded with “Best Zonal Event Organizer Award” in IIT-BOMBAY campus during Padarth ‘15.

Best Hospitality Provider Award: Zonal Centres will be nominated for this award category on the basis of the hospitality given to our faculty/trainer in their college and Best College will be awarded with “Best Hospitality Provider Award” in IIT-BOMBAY campus during Padarth ‘15.

Best Event of the Series: The most successful event of the whole series will be recognized as the winner of this Exclusive category and will be awarded with “Best Event of The Series” in IIT-BOMBAY campus during Padarth ‘15.

How to Organize? 1. Confirm your college as a Zonal Centre on the college letter head.

2. Date of the workshop will be decided by the mutual conversation of authority

of college & Coordinators of iSec Systems.

3. Min. 70–100 student participants are required to conduct this workshop at

college campus.

4. After successful conduction of the workshop every participating candidate will

be provided with certification from iSec Systems, Robo-Next 2015 in

association with Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY.

5. Robotic Kit will be given in a group of four to six students participants in the

Workshop Program.

Why to Organize? 1. To provide exposure by acting as a Nodal Centre for a Grand Event of IIT Level.

2. To provide something additional and 100% Practical Knowledge to the students.

3. To improvise their Technical Skills.

4. To provide them a career guidance.

5. To develop their communication and interaction skill.

6. Your college will be recognized as the “Zonal Centre” on the official website of

the Event for a National Level workshop series cum Championship for

Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY.

9. Posters and Flexes will be sent to you for effective regional & local publicity.

OUR CERTIFICATION POLICY Various Certificates will be provided to participating students, Coordinators, Faculties and the institution in this workshop.

“Certificate of Participation” All the participating Candidates will be provided with certificate of participation by iSec Systems in association with Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY.

“Certificate of Merit” Top three finalist teams of the Zonal Centre will be awarded with certificate of merit and winners of the Zonal Rounds will be invited to compete in the final rounds at Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY. “Certificate of Coordination” The appointed coordinators will be provided with the certificate of coordination for coordinating and successfully conducting this event by iSec Systems in association with Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY. “Appreciation letter to the Faculty” A Letter of Appreciation will be issued for the faculty for appraising their contribution and efforts in successful conduction of this event by iSec Systems in association with Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY. “Association letter to the college” A letter of association will be issued to the institution for their infrastructural support provided and conduction of this Grand Event by iSec Systems in association with Padarth ’15, IIT-BOMBAY.

What is required? 1. Seminar hall/classroom having enough capacity to conduct hands-on-session for all participants.

2. A Good quality public addressing system ideally two cordless Mic. will be required.

3. Projector/ Screen along with black/white board for teaching and presentation purpose.

4. Hospitality of our Technical Trainer for respective duration.

5. Pick & drop facility from the nearest bus stop / Railway station / Airport.

What is the Registration Fee?

The Event Registration Charges are required to be Paid by all the Participating

students. Charges are ` 1450/- per participant. We will deliver a tool kit in a group of

4-6 Members.

*At the end of the workshop a zonal round of Competition will be held from which top three teams

will be selected for competing in the final rounds at IIT Campus. he Robotic Kit will be delivered in a group of 4-6 Members.

** Only a Frame will be provided in Quadcopter Workshop. Flying session will be done by the trainer but that kit won’t be delivered in this workshop.
