A One Day Workshop on Revised Accreditation Framework

(RAF) of NAAC was organized on 26th August, 2019 by Chaudhary

Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani in collaboration with National

Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore the for

the affiliated colleges of Chaudhary Bansi Lal University.

The workshop was formally inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice-

Chancellor of the University, Prof. R.K.Mittal, Respected Prof.

Jitender Bhardwaj, Registrar of university , Dr. Devender Kawday,

Deputy Advisor, NAAC, Bangalore and Prof. Vinita Sahu, Assistant

Advisor and Prof. Ved Parkash Kumar, Senior Consultant of

University were there on the stage . The other invited dignitaries

Prof. R.S.Sharma , Dean – Academic Affairs, Prof. Surender

Kaushik-Dean of Colleges, Prof Sanjeev Kumar, Dean – Faulty of

Pharmaceutical Sciences , Prof. Lalita Gupta– Dean , Faulty of Life

Sciences graced the progamme. Prof. Ved Parkash Kumar ,

Convenor of Workshop welcomed guests on stage and gave the

program details. Programme started with lightening of lamps of Maa

Saraswati . Then Prof . Devender Kawday , Deputy Advisor – NAAC

explained about the NAAC and need of Revised Accredation

Framework(RAF) .

Then Hon’ble VC Prof. R.K.Mittal, , in his welcome address

highlighted the objective of conducting the workshop and recent

efforts of university in complete review of all syllabuses and

implementing of Choice based Credit System(CBCS). Around 124

delegates participated from about 58 colleges including deans and

HODs’ of university. These include Principals, Directors ,

management members (Secretary/correspondent) and their

representatives from affiliated colleges who are engaged with NAAC

accreditation.

Vice-chancellor has stressed the importance of getting NAAC

accreditation by 2022 as per the Quality mandate of UGC. He

appealed to all non- accredited affiliated colleges of the university to

start preparations for applying for NAAC accreditation.

The workshop comprised of two technical sessions followed

by hands on training on online registration and submission of SSR

(Self Study Report). In the first Assessment method and Ranking

process. Dr. Devender Kawday, Deputy Advisor, NAAC, Bangalore

briefed about the need of Revised Accreditation Framework (RAF)

of NAAC , major changes done in this and online process of

Assessment and Accreditation of NAAC .

Revised Accreditation Framework and explained the following aspects of RAF:

• Data Driven A & A framework• Validation of data by external agency• Online Student Satisfaction survey• System selection of peer team members• A & A process complete automation• Online submission of application

In the post lunch hands on training session, Dr. Vinita Sahu,

Assistant Advisor- NAAC demonstrated the online process of

registration and filing of SSR (Self Study Report) etc. Then there

massive response from the participants in last session which was

open forum in which participants cleared their doubts at the end of

the workshop .

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof.

Ved Parkash Kumar, Senior Consultant, CBLU, Bhiwani to their

team and specially NAAC efforts in supporting for the workshop .

The Programme got wide coverage in the local print and social

media as news about the workshop and later on final discussion on

the need of Revised Accreditation Framework (RAF) of NAAC .

The Chaudhary Bansi Lal University for further course of action ,

decide to motivate all its affiliated colleges to go for NAAC

Accreditation process so that their maximum colleges comes under

NAAC umbrella .
