REPORT ON FIELD TRIP

INCOIS(Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services.), Pragathi Nagar
Aim of the Field trip:
Field Trip is considered as one of the tactical methods of teaching. The main reason behind this- it lets
student to know things practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Moreover,
it gives exposure from academic point of view. Main aim of Field Trip is to provide an exposure to students
about practical working environment .They also provide students a good opportunity to gain full awareness
about industrial practices. Through Field Trip students get awareness about new technologies. Technology
development is a main factor, about which a students should have a good knowledge. Visiting different
companies actually help students to build a good relationship with those companies. We know building
relationship with companies always will always help to gain a good job in future. After visiting an industry
students can gain a combined knowledge about both theory and practical. Students will be more concerned
about earning a job after having an Field Trip.
Details of the Visit :
Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology has conducted an Field Trip to ECE Students to
INCOIS, Pragathinagar on 18-05-2019 .Total of 80 students accompanied by 2 faculty utilised this opportunity.
The faculty who have accompanied students were 1. D. Suguna Kumari Assistant Prof, 2.A. kapil Kumar
Assistant Prof.

the Government of India, under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, located in Pragathi Nagar, Hyderabad. ESSO-
INCOIS was established as an autonomous body in 1999 under the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) and is a
unit of the Earth System Science Organization (ESSO). ESSO- INCOIS is mandated to provide the best
possible ocean information and advisory services to society, industry, government agencies and the scientific
