1. Introduction

In order to support a wider dissemination of FIESTA outcomes and approach, AREA organized a

public procurement to select the European association of municipalities devoted to carry on the

dissemination activities at EU level. After the section, ICLEI – Local Governments for

Sustainability has been contracted and since September 2015, ICLEI Europe has disseminated

FIESTA news and outputs to policy makers, local authorities and other European stakeholders

interested in achieving greater energy efficiency. ICLEI has reached over 10,000 people while

promoting FIESTA through diverse traditional and on line communication tools.

9. FIESTA workshop in Brussels

A workshop to mark the end of the project was held in Brussels (Belgium) on 5 September, which

saw discussion and debate on the best methods to encourage the adoption of energy efficient

behaviour. Project partners from the municipalities of Logrono and Pamplona (Spain), and

Pazardzhik (Bulgaria) shared their experiences from participating in FIESTA, outlining what

worked in their local context in terms of reaching citizens.

The workshop was successfully organized jointly by AREA Science Park and ICLEI and

acknowledged the participation of 25 relevant European stakeholders.
