The results revealed that agriculture and animal raising arepracticed by community in the area but agriculture activityis weak comparatively with their neighboring community inTerij may be due to Lack of agricultural skills type of soilaround their Damras exactly rain fed agriculture and lootingof animals due to last tribal conflict (2010)

231 Agriculture

Rain fed Agriculture is major activity for Darussalam and GouzGorab peple The majority of them used to practice rain fedagriculture while a very few people in Darussalam used topractice both rain fed and irrigated winter season agricultureIn rainy season people in the area used to grow mainly (MilletSorghum Groundnut) while in winter season they growbasically (Potatoes Onion) The survey showed that themajority of people in the area owned lands

232 Livestock

The Study showed that animal raising is second majorlivelihood activity for both Darussalam and Gouz Gurab Some

people less than 50 breed livestock (Cows Sheep and Goat)Animal mobility is due to seasonal change livestock moveaccording to availability of pasture and water Animalbreeders complain from numbers of disease attack theiranimals such as (Umdridmat Abulisan for cows)
