Alumni Meet –“YAADEIN” -BVIMSR Ground

Description The Alumni meet –“YAADEIN” is to build a bridge between college life and career life and re-unite the maximum number of ex-students of our own BVIMSR Family in the nest from where these students grew up. The Alumni Meet “YAADEIN” 2K19 of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management Studies & Research was diligently organized in its very own beautifully decorated Campus with utilization of modern technology on 16 March 2019 from 06 PM onwards by BVIMSR Alumni Association. The event commenced with Annual general Meeting of BVIMSR Alumni association on the same day at 6 p.m. in Seminar hall. Mr. Vijay Bajirao Chavan, Secretary of BVIMSR Alumni Association gave welcome speech and welcomed all alumni. Addressing the AGM, the Institute I/c Director Dr. Anjali Kalse welcomed its alumnus, “We thank our alumnus and would like to extend our special thanks to the President of Alumni Association along with secretaries and treasurers who have contributed to their alma mater through various initiatives even after passing out”. BVIMSR has a legacy of more than 35 years Therefore it’s essential to build on the existing legacy and connect with more alumnus through placements and students development program. “Speaking at the occasion, the President of BVIMSR Alumni Association Mr. Arup Gupta greeted all the members present in the Annual General Meet (AGM) and shared good old times of his batch 1984-1986. He declared that the AGM had been conducted for the purpose of regular interaction between the alumni and the institution and invited alumnus to conduct placement and development programs for the institute. Later He described & discussed the agenda of the meeting with the member’s present in the meeting.

The campus was abuzz as the event witnessed participation of overall 347 alumni (163 on the spot registration) across various batches to attend the meet right from 1984- 1986 batch to 2016-2018 Batch. The AGM was followed by registration process at the BVIMSR ground.

To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, the BVIMSR Alumni Meet- “YAADEIN” 2K19, with the theme “Back to College” The meet started traditionally with the reciting of Saraswati Vandana, lighting the lamp by Regional Director Dr.Vilasrao Kadam, Ex-Director Dr. D. Y. Patil, I/C Director Dr.Anjali Kalse, BVIMSR Alumni Association President Mr. Arup Gupta, Secretary Mr. Vijay Chavan, Member Mr. P. Ramaswamy, Mr. Syama Anand, Mr. Maneesh. Dr. Anjali Kalse I/C Director gave a welcome speech.

Dr.Vilasrao Kadam & Ex Director Dr. D. Y. Patil felicitated notable Alumni Mr. Arup Gupta, Mr. Vijay Chavan, Mr. Shirish Bokde, Mr. Akshat Verma, Mr. P.Ramaswamy, Mr. Amit Tipnis, Mr. Umang Parmar, and Mr. Vitthal More for their contribution and achievement.

Mr. Akshat Verma & Mr. P. Ramaswamy felicitated the young and dynamic students of BVIMSR of 2018-20 & 2017-19 Batch for their day – night contributions to make an Alumni Meet a grand success.

Ex. Director Dr. D. Y. Patil distributed awards to star alumni for their immense contribution for Alma mater. Mr. Tanuj Poddar (2002-04) for pre placement process, Mr. Akshat Verma (2003-05) for admission process. Mr. Pankaj Pamnani (2006-08), Ms. Madhavi Minocha (2009-11), Mr. Amay Kadam ( 2013-15), Mr. Prasenjeet Shirsat (2013-15), Mr. Navendu Prakash ( 2013-15), Ms. Sailee Nayak (2015-17), Mr. Rukmesh Surve (2015-17), Ms. Sonali Roy (2015-17) for contribution in Placement Activities.

The evening was vibrant and colorful through a series of Cultural event which comprised of solo singing, solo dance, group dance & Role play. In between Alumni also interacted and shared their experience & memories simultaneously four Games- Ball in the pot, Ball in the court, Cups & balls, Dart & balloon were arranged for fun and frolic. 100 participants enthusiastically played out of which 60 were winners. Faculty of BVIMSR and Alumni distributed certificates to students as a volunteers for their contribution for the alumni meet.

The event concluded with a thank you note by I/C Director Dr. Anjali Kalse and delicious dinner was arranged. In the entire event photos were captured to have the memories of this Alumni meet in the pocket. The Alumni Meet witnessed an active involvement of the alumni and a number of commendable suggestions and proposals were put forth by the participants. It was decided to strengthen the link between the current BVIMSR students and the alumni to facilitate alumni support in varied spheres like training, placement and career counseling. It was a remarkable evening with a jubilant show completing the aspect of maintaining strong bond with the alumni. The Grand Alumni Meet ended with a lively Alumni get-together.
