SchlussfolgerungenSchlussfolgerungen• Schnelle atmosphärische CH4-Schwankungen sind gedämpft festgehalten in polaren Bohrkernen, mit einem Dämpfungsfaktor von 41% für Dome C für das Kaltereignis vor 8200 Jahren
• Die Dämpfung wird mit einem Diffusions- und Einschlussmodel berechnet und stimmt gut mit den CH4
Messungen überein
• Die CH4-Altersverteilung in den Blasen des Dome C Eisbohrkerns ist 7 mal breiter als im GRIP Eisbohrkern
• Für kalte Bohrorte mit kleiner Akkumulationsrate (Dome C) ist die Breite der Altersverteilung bestimmt durch den Blasenabschlussprozess, hingegen für warme Gebiete mit hoher Akumulationsrate (GRIP) ist der Diffusionsprozess für die Breite der Altersverteilung ebenso wichtig
