Due to the fact that I am so wonderful, my talents are quite varied. In addition to painting the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, I also sketched designs of flying machines and guns. 3. ______________________________I believe a ruler should be both a lion and a fox – appear to be good but prepared to do evil; after all, the ends justify the means… 4. ______________________________I am often referred to as the Father of Humanism; one of my most famous works is the Song Book – a collection of Italian sonnets in which I express my feelings for a lovely woman named Laura. 5. ______________________________I was somewhat of a con-artist in my day. I convinced German peasants to buy indulgences from the Catholic Church by promising them a spot in heaven. Yea…so what? 6. ______________________________I painted the School of Athens, as well as a number of serene paintings that depicted the Madonna and the child, better known as Mary and Jesus. 7. ______________________________I wrote the Decameron, a famous story about a group of people attempting to hide from the Black Death. I’m pretty sure it’ll be a Blockbuster hit one day… 8. ______________________________My name means “little barrel.” I am most known for infusing classical themes into my Renaissance work. Examples of this would be La Primavera or the Birth of Venus. 9. ______________________________My 95 Theses really caused some problems with the Catholic Church during the 16 th century. The Pope even had the nerve to excommunicate me! See if I care! I ended up creating my own religion anyways.
